My 400w HPS got stolen from the UPS guy!

So I had ordered a 400w HPS/MH from ebay... It was shipped two days ago and able to be tracked. This morning it said on route for delivery. Around noon I get a email confirming my package had been delivered to a female customer at my address.

That's where the problem comes in. No one was at my address (to my knowledge) at this time. Me and my wife were at work. I call UPS to see if they can tell me who signed for the package, they inform me they can only confirm it was a female recipient which I already knew from the delivery receipt and to check with neighbors to see if one of them accepted the package. My neighbors say they didn't receive anything. So some anonymous person has my 400w as far as I can see:wall:... The reason I'm posting this is strictly curiosity as to see what you would do if this happened to you...

that's bs. call the distribution center and thell them to give you the driver's name and number. they carry around a phone you should be able to reach him/her. ask who signed for it. ask for a description and how it went down.

keep asking for the manager until somebody finds your shit. good luck.

Thanks. That's some good info and a good idea. I've contacted the sender of the light and they have to contact UPS to give certain info and then an investigation can be opened... Makes me nervous being a grow light and all. But it's perfectly legal

you call the shipper, tell them the pkg is showing delivered, and signed for, but you nor your wife, recieved, nor signed for said package. Call UPS, get a confirmation on the address said package was delivered to, including unit number if in a comples. see if shipper sent delivery required or certified ect... which mean it had to be signed for, and they have a signature on record for the person that signed for it.

Tell Shipper item is NOT in your possesstion, and he (shipper) will need to file a lost/stolen package claim with UPS.

Cool thanks, yea I emailed the shipper, hopefully they come through. I want my light dammit :bigjoint:

dude same thing happened to me. except it was spore syringes and usps fuckers stole them right out of my mail box. best thing to do is call up your shipper and see if they will replace them which they dont have to but most times will if there a good company thats what spores101 did.

Awesome, I was hoping someone with a similar experience would chime in. Yea i'm hoping they just send another one preferably using a different mailing company that this couldnt happen with. I'm gonna fight until I get my money back or my light, I'd much rather have the light lol. Guess I'll find out what the shipper is going to do tomorrow. hopefully good things.

So far these guys are awesome and keeping me updated. Just got this email:

"Hello:

Thanks for the clarification.
Since UPS would not allow a tracer to be filed within 24 hours of delivery, we'll do it tomorrow, and keep you updated on the status.

damn thats fucked up,if my ups guy ever stole shit from me ill whoop his ass n get everything in the truck and my shit back haha. make him walk back to work
