My Aerogarden Setup

Well i guess i am not the first to use one but i am using a Aerogarden that was made for purpose of Herbs, Flowers, Tomatoes. So i already knew it what i was gonna do with it so i had for almost 3 weeks now and today i went and bought another one cause the plants are growing so fast you can only have about 3 at most in one. I am going to use them for my Veg then for flowering, the top is removable, I will remove it and put my 400w HPS for 12/12. For standard they are set at 17/7. Honestly for a beginner or someone just wanting to sit back and let it do all the work, I strongly recommend this, I am going to back and journal and post pics so if you want keep up with my Thread!!


This Pic is from 4 days ago , So it will be the 2 week Pic the 2 gardens will be in the 4 week.

Good stuff! I am thinking about doing the same thing, but was also wondering about using the existing lights off of the aerogarden 200pro (has more lights than the 100) along with LED grow lights for the 12/12, but have no experience growing with them. Hope it goes well... keep us updated.

Pretty much here i closed off the area with a false door, looks better and now its warmer keeping humidity in. This is just the vege stage. When i am going to flower i will remove the tops of the machines and hang a 400 watt HPS. Look at them though cause they are some beasts. The mixture is Diesel and also i just started off some Black Domina about 3 days ago in the empty slots.

Hmm I wouldn't try to grow 2 plants in 1 pod....And I would definitely not grow more than 3 plants in the aerogarden at once....and ya definitely replace the hood with that hps.

Xtc, next time keep your lights a lot closer. see how much the left one stretched?

Diesel how long you going to veg? if i was you. if you have it then use the hps even for veg. it will help so much get rid of the hoods. my opinion

i was thinking about letting them get 18 inches then flower. Today im going to get some nutes and possibly go ahead and get the HPS light then more supplies to build something to hold the light but yes i did think about using the hps for vege but with the way they are growing i don't wanna mess with it. They are so healthy!! Almost think it would be my luck to change something and mess up (which with that idea it shouldn't). I guess its kind of like the saying if it ain't broke don't fix it. As always i do like the advise nothing wrong with knowledge.

Xtc hell ya man aerogarden love! On the 2 plants in one pod was kind of an accident cause usually all my seeds dont bust so i plant 1-3 in a pod but i guess i got lucky and everyone of them cracked. I really dont know what to do on that for the fact if i pluck one it would end up a female and getting stuck with a male, then in another sense they all be females but not enough room for them. For this being my first hydro grow i will go ahead and call it a learning experience so next time i know how what to do, but this has been fun.

I been using the original nutes that came with the setup. I finally found a place that carries GH products like 2 hours away soooooo later today i am going to stock up!! Also i got to get that damn 400w light. But so far the regular nutes been working just fine, and actually im almost about to buy a third one to keep harvests coming, but then i seen all the stuff at that store and i might be making my own....... I don't know yet what to do. Ya they need to make a aerogarden supreme holding 30 plants :)

Ok i got bored, thought i would do some more pics for the hell of it, its not yet 4 weeks but its ok . I went ahead since one of them wanted to mess with me on the on/off of the lights i sliced them both and wired together and plugged to a timer so i control the time again. The last pic really serves no purpose but the camera did make a excellent picture so i had to post it.

Today i did go get some nutes and when i walked into the place i ended up coming out with another hydro setup, this one is a flooder. I figured since i drove a 4 hour round trip i might as well get everything i need for awhile. Also you can't see the 30 lb of hydroton. I will go ahead and have this one started probably in a day or two and i will make another thread.

i dont really know yet, i have been getting some good green lately so i might just do some bag seed with a hydro touch.

Looks good . you should cover your unused openings on the growdeck to prevent alge. to get to the roots . great job.. also make sure no roots are getting into your pump and you should put a 6"- 8" airstone in there also with a small air pump.. it works wonders

well my growing has my compremised, i was arrested for manufactoring marijuana cause of someone coming in my house and shooting during an attempted robbery, i didnt rid of the plants good enough so....jail. But they did make it to 2-3 weeks of flowering and i had 2 females, but we will try again.
