My air pump turned off for a day

I have a 3 gallon Res that holds the nutrient solution I had just put clones in so the roots weren't sitting in the water

but the problem is when the air pump when out the water sat, and now it smells like an aquarium,

I changed the water out and added h2o2 and hygrozyme but still have a fish tank smell....

Should I be worried, root growth seems to be doing pretty well, not sure if the smell will fade in time...

you should be fine...just keep an eye out for root rot.....and maybe clean one more time with diluted hydrogen peroxide

Looks like a good time to bring up about the smell in my grow room (only 2 pl) the smell is rotten & it comes & goes.
My roots seem normal, growth on 1 seems a little slow ,but I just defoliated in an experiment I know that slows it down a little.
So the only complaint I have is smell & it comes & goes.

You can go @24hrs with no oxygenation of the water.
Look at your Res temps.

Cool Thanks for the answers guys...

the temp is at 78... I think I can bring it down a few degrees... I think I'll change out the res and flush with ph'd water and h2o2 and then fill it up again with nutes.

plant growth is fine... its just the smell that bothers me...

I have a carbon scrubber and the smell is definitely contained to close contact... but still I like to make sure everything is running as it should, without any difference from previous grows.

Yep. your running your temps on the high side.
Depending where you look for the info. you'll see 68-78F or 66-76F, If you can drop your Res temps @70-72F you'll be doing good.

Roger that Captain

I dropped it down to 70 degrees... lets hope for no more nasty smelling foam...

I also introduced a product called plantacillin and realized the bottle kinda smelt like the fishy stuff....

But it says its for hydroponic application...
