Yep. For now at least. Gonna give them a chance to make it right but I don’t have a whole lot of confidence
I just checked the link to your lights and nowhere it states they are the 301’s. It says Samsung white and red chip lol

sorry you got huddled man. You should return them and hit up Meijiu

The ad I purchased from specified lm301b elsewhere on their page. I didn’t link the exact one i ordered from cause they all look the same. I have chat logs from them saying they are lm301 too. They claim it was an accident. I’m gonna give them a chance to make it right or report them to alibaba for selling counterfeit goods and try get my money back. From what I’ve read, trade assurance often sides with the buyer in cases like this. I’m not too bummed about it. They were only $1000. They’ll work for now and I’ll order some Meijius in the next few weeks. Oh well

I was that they were lm301 diodes but what I received were lm281. The seller admitted to it too. They claim it was a mistake but it’s a little fishy
Doesn't Alibaba have something like 3bays get what you payed for policy? If you don't get exactly what was intended, you're fully refunded. On 3bay at least.

Push for rectification if you were sold something and didnt get it. I have allways found both app and alibaba webpage utterly confusing to the point that its almost intentionally unclear. Get the email to the sales rep and do it over emails, keeping in mind that there wont be top english service, some questions will just be answered affirmative cause they dont understand allways.
Ive seen people deal well with KB and Meijiu which was my experience as well: good service.
And try to buy in a way that you never need to claim warranty: full lights and drivers isnt great if you have to send back. However a failing 30$ board can be be seen as an expendable piece of equipment and you can shake it off if they dont sort it out. Imo alibaba works well if your DIY and your strategy is using more diodes per watt; ive mainly seen people having problems when they run boards at QB levels: 120w per.

They have something called trade assurance that’s supposed to guarantee you get what you paid for. The seller keeps begging me to cancel my trade assurance claim. They seem to be afraid of it almost. The only acceptable resolution for me would be them sending me the right lights and only after I’ve received and inspected them will I send the others back. They want me to ship the lm281s back and wait a month for the lm301 lights. Every day they offer a counter offer that leaves me without lights for a month which I can’t do. They also expected me to cover return shipping at first. I told them to get fucked. We’ll see what happens. They’ve admitted to everything and I’ve saved the chat logs to send to alibaba for the trade assurance claim so hopefully I at least get some money back

Jesus. I’d be super pissed and just go ahead with the claim, then order from Meijiu

The claim is already open. There’s a waiting period where you are supposed to negotiate with the seller directly first. It resets every time they make a counter offer and they kept making counter offers that got worse and worse for me. I finally demanded they stop with the counters and now I’m just waiting for the timer to run out and get alibaba involved.

Ended up with just under 5lbs of high b grade. I don’t smoke so I didn’t try it myself but everyone said it got the really really high and the taste was right. It didn’t have the bag appeal I was after. The lights didn’t have the correct spectrum for flowering so the bugs never frosted. Next run I’m gonna add supplemental reds for flowering or run HPS along with the LEDs for late stage of flowering. I’d like to try and stay with LEDs only though.

Pretty decent first try. I missed the harvest which I am bummed about. Went a little covid crazy and nearly drank myself to death so I checked my ass into rehab before shit got outta control. Next run, I won’t be drunk the whole time so results should improve My homie didn’t even take pics of the finished product for me. Just left me a jar with a few ounces
