Hey Everybody,
Long time no chat.... My plants have been growing sooooo slowly, or thats how it feels anyway. I started out with 6, unfortunately, 4 were male, so I have 2 beautiful ladies growing now. I was wondering what I should be doing with them now? Is there anything special I should or shouldn't do? The buds are nice and thick, especially on plant #1. I have added pics. I give them 24 hr light, then 24 hr dark. The get fertilized every third day now. As usual any tips, suggestions, advice is greatly appreciated.

Happy smokin'

Hey,
Yeah I said 24/24, I thought it might be good for them?!? They are a little stretched because I was gone for a few days this summer and the lights were shut off. I have two florescent grow lights, 48" long, and two cfl lights. This is my first time growing, so I really have no idea what I'm doing. The 24/24 seemed to help them, should I go back to 12/12? When will I know they are ready to harvest? Thanks for being patient..... I'll get it right yet!

Good newfiegirl, I see you got it... Where did you get the 24/24 thing from.. I've heard of different cycles such as 20/4.. 18/6.. but not that.. I've not yet grown inside so I'm not in the position to tell you to go to 12/12, but NEXT time thats what I'd stick too.. I'd worry about turning it hermi if you change now... maybe someone with more lighting ex. will jump in later... Good luck... thanks for pm...
+rep for growing (plus Canadian :))

Plants are producing bud, but every time you give it 24 hours of light you are telling it that its time to go back into vegetation mode. IE you are stressing that plant badly, NOT GOOD. Put it back into 12/12 and NEVER try that 24 shit again, its absolutely bad for a flowering plant.

You MUST go and buy yourself a timer so that you can forget about turning lights on and off manually. When you go on vacation the lights will turn on and off by themselves. This isn't an optional thing to do, timers are really really cheap.

To be honest those buds do not look nice and thick, in fact they look thin and wispy. You should only fertilize every third watering, so if you are watering every day then that is way too much, the soil must not be kept wet all the time, the plants do not like it wet. If your watering every 3rd day, then you should be fertilizing once every 9 days and no more, too much fertilizer will kill those plants as sure as napalm alight on top would.

Read the GrowFAQ , the link is at the top of every page on RIU.

Hey,
I bought a timer and set it up. I just hope I haven't screwed them up too bad. About the fertilizer, I read somewhere they could handle a lot if you increase it slowly and over a period of time. They don't seem to mind it, the leaves aren't burnt or discolored. But I will start to flush them now. How will I know when they are ready? The buds on plant 1 are sticky and all together at the top of the plant. The second plant dosen't seem to be doing as well. Anyway, all the advice I recieve from everyone hear is very well appreciated. Thanks, everyone.
