my back feels better

it took me a while to realize this but my back is fucked up. when ever i am laying down in bed or on a couch or anything and my back is propped up i feel a really straining pain in my mid right back, right under my shoulder blade. it feels like the is someone pulling my muscle apart or slicing it. another thing is when i tilt my head to the left while im laying down it makes the pain twice as bad. also i realized that when ever i am bending over or my back is arched for a long amount of time that when i come back up into a prone position it takes me a while because my back gets really really stiff and usually hurts until i get my back straight again. i think this may happen to me because i crack my back alot but im not sure.

any ideas on how to fix this? or even what it is?:joint:

I would realy ask my GP to arrange for haveing x-ray's taken... I suspect it may be a slipped /slipping disc... which is not to be ignored as it is not a static condition.. i.e. they can move in ways that will make whatever you feel now feel like childsplay....

I have been boarded for the past 10 years due to an arthritic condition of the back and also sit with 2 disks that you can clearly see pushing against the spinal cord on an x-ray, just don't feel like haveing any ops.

But neck and shoulder pains can be caused by many things... you may even just be sleeping on too many cushions (the only english word to end in shion except fashion).

Good luck pall and keep tokeing... it tends to immobilise you and prevent you makeing things worse... It does not relieve pain, but can make you tolerate it and focus more on whatever you are busy with, rather than being focused on the pain...

The longer yo take to fix it, the worse your posture will get due to trying to compensate and preventing pain. Which as you can imagine only makes things worse.

holy shit. ive got almost the exact same problem only my pain is lower down. im actually heading up to the x ray department next wednesday. get it checked out before its too late. Mine gets so bad that im unable to walk for days. ive missed so much work over this and really cant keep it up. You should try take up swimming. it is probably the only form of exercise beneficial if you have a bad back.
