Looking good. I did 5 Northern Lights Autos outdoors last summer and yielded 10oz of seriously nice weed. My next indoor grown will be 5 more, RQS keep sending them to me for free.

How tall did your Northern Light autos outside get?
Hard to know really, I LST'd them pretty low to the surface of the pot. I did them in a low poly tunnel. I guess they were at least 1m if I had allowed them to grow up.

I am certain they could have yielded a bit more, but I didn't really put the effort in and I could have located them better to maximise the direct sun light. I put them in some cheap potting compost and fed them with tomato feed once a week. They were a free sample pack and I just put them in the poly tunnel, because my wife had bought it without having any plants to put in it. I had never grown weed outdoors before and I just wanted to see what happened.

This year we are growing a lot more fruit and veg, so I will be limited to one plant outside. I have moved the poly tunnel into better light and mounted it off the floor to gain more height. So I am building a huge Sub Irrigated Planter for the tunnel and I have a spare Auto seed, Black Valium by Top Shelf Elite, so I will give that a try.

Update on the Purple Silverback auto ?

Growing medium ? Nutrients ?

Looks like you've found how much is enough ;)

I tend to find out the hard way. 3 gallon fabric pots, 600w MH/HPS, Mega Crop, ProMix HP.

6.7g/gallon was too much, backed off to 4g/gallon plus 1g/gallon of Bud Explosion every second feeding.

She's the runt of the litter @ 30" high but just keeps chugging along, really looking forward to a taste !

PS 21 Mar Day 71.jpg

Cheers.

mine's already in the flowering, but mine isn't as good as those but mine were traumatized from freezing in the snow then went through numerous stress & shocks luckily I kept 1 of the 3 going, but 2 died but couldn't stay alive then just stopped for no apparent reason & went dormant, then the leaves changed so I cleared them, watch out for the hermies they come out at you out of nowhere

Did you give your autos the tomato feed through the flowering stage too? I'm growing autos and feeding with tomato feed too.

Yep. Fed weekly with Tomorite and a teaspoon of Epsom Salt.

I have done a run of photos on 100% tomato feed indoors under LEDs. The only slight niggle I had was a minor calcium deficiency on two plants. So on my next run I am going to add a weekly dose of homemade calmag from the time I flip, basically a teaspoon of Epsom Salts and a tablespoon of Calcium Chloride in a 5L Tomorite solution.

Hey sorry for the late response. We did all organic with pro mix and stepwell supersoil. In 7 gal fabric pots in a 8x4 tent with three 320 watt led. Using dutch science nuits. Two feedings of nuits then regular ph'd water. We also used budcandy With almost every feeding in flowering stage. They are dried and on their first week of curing. We dipped in and smoked a bit and it's very very heavy smoke. Takes your anxiety or shitty mood and tosses it out the window I absolutely love this strain it's packed with crystals and very sticky with a earthy berry vanilla taste to it. Autoflower.ca is where we got these auto seeds from and I was hesitant at first with them being a new company and all but they are the real deal. With only a few strains in their repituar like gelato, king gelato, purple silverback, Gg4, green Crack, Northern lights, Skywalker og but all grew very well with not alot of complications. Very forgiving genetics. They have just posted on their instragram and Facebook pages that their in the midst of creating another handful of strains. I'll get some pics up of the finished products in the next day or two. Thanks guys!Screenshot_20220308-025009_Gallery.jpgScreenshot_20220308-025500_Gallery.jpgScreenshot_20220308-025328_Gallery.jpgScreenshot_20220308-025049_Gallery.jpgScreenshot_20220308-024833_Gallery.jpgScreenshot_20220308-024847_Gallery.jpg

Thanks for the update !

That is where I got my seeds too. Two Gelato's, a King Gelato, a GG#4 and the Purple Silverback.

I wasn't impressed with the seeds, small and greenish. But, they all germinated and have grown well with no real issues.

The Purple Silverback had slight canoeing all through the grow, the King Gelato is a monster. At 42" I started tying the tops down.

She was topped Before transplanting from a yogurt container into the 3 gallon pots and then LST'ed. It kept stretching well into flowering and I bet I could have filled a 4x4 space with two of them !

Finishing times are going to be quite a bit different. I'm at day 73 and the Gelato's are just starting to show brown pistils while the King Gelato and GG#4 are still building buds.

The King Gelato and GG#4 were the first to show nuit burn @ 6.7g/gallon of MC. Backed off to 4g/gallon and smooth sailing !
