Hey guys,

As always I'd like to start out by thanking you for taking the time to read my post.

Secondly I'd like to introduce you to my MASSIVE (for me at least...) Auto I've grown yet.

It's a northern lights auto from Royal Queen Seeds, it's about 30/35 days old and this thing completely ate up my 3x3x6 tent all by itself...

The plant is growing in some biobizz light mix

I have since fed it once during the flowering cycle with a fert containing 4-10-11 NPK at half the dose to start things off.

Its been how it looks for the last week, it looks as though it's started to flower but hasn't really kicked into gear just yet.... She looks healthy to my eyes If anyone has any suggestions as to what may causing the slow rate of flower I'm all ears

I agree very nice for an Autoflower. Congrats.

Just flushed the plant because it's leaves were showing signs of nitrogen excess so hopefully she responds well and starts flowering properly.

It looked alright to be honest..
You might want to stop defoliating too much, itll stunt the growth
Tbh I have barely defoliated it just stretched to the gods that's why it look like i couldn't stop picking at it hahaha

it's the tallest and least bushy plant I've grown thus far

Gave it a little flush, we'll see where she's at in a week or so

Tall plants are great if they have thick stems to support the branches... unfortunately from what I've seen with plants stretched this much, you'll need a lot of support as they'll be falling over left and right as they pack on weight. Good news is, it's a learning lesson and you'll get better each time.

Most definitely, couldn't agree with you more on that one.

Lack of thickness in the stems caught my attention right away...

Ill try add a trellis net or something to help support it

Fingers crossed she actually flowers ok XD

It'll be fine I think, I'd consider rigging up a little trellis, 4 sticks and some twine or whatever you can get and it'll help support.

Having grown autos for couple decades, I don't remember seeing an auto that stretched.....Nice job.
Must have gotten really lucky with some great genetics.

I'm not complaining by any means just curious as to how it's gonna pan out

Hey guys, just a little update and looking for some suggestions...

The plant as you know if F$cking massive for my tent and I'm having issues with it being too close to my light...

At the moment I have my SE3000 set to about 50/60% any more and my leaves towards the top start to curl up and look for shade....

Since the plant is now in flower should I increase slowly? or should I just wait till bud sites form and increase it slowly towards the end of the grow?

Thanks for your suggestions as always.

Still clueless and my upper leaves are getting stressed pretty bad ngl...

no idea what I can do to help besides taking the plant outdoors...

It's not hardened off though so it would just crumble XD

Plus it means the plant will be getting way less light than it is getting currently especially since now its in flower..

Hello, I know the thread is old but do you have any pictures of your NL after she packed on bud. Your node spacing worries me as it was like that with one of my White Widow Autos I didn't top.

Could you tell us your yield as well since I still have a NL that I haven't topped yet and one that I did top three weeks ago as she enters week 7 and only the second week into flowering. I didn't just top them though as they have also been under more blue light during the first 5 weeks which aides in keeping plants shorter since more red light equates to more stem (vertical) growth.

The big Northern Lights Auto is in a 7 gallon cloth pot while the baby is in a 3 gallon pot. Big sister has been topped so that she sends auxins to get side branches more then one main stem and I didn't do any LST on her yet or my middle plant and topped and did some LST on far right plant with yellow straps.

Middle plant is Critical Orange Punch with red straps.

Far right plant is Critical + 2.0 all entering week 7 and the baby is entering week 2.

Thanks for any info provided and hope you're grow turned out great.

Hey bossman, Sorry for the late reply.

Sadly I do not have any photos of the finished product... however what I can tell you is that while there weren't any huge long colas the plant still yielded me over 185-190g (including the very small popcorn nugs) which for an auto blew my mind out the water no lie...

The buds were pretty airy to begin with but after dying and curing in grove bags and glass jars all seems to be good.

I gave them to a friend and he told me all check out well and they treated him well :)

I never topped it or anything it just freakishly mutated into the massive plant it was btw

I can tell you didn't top her by the way she grew out, I had a White Widow from my last grow that I didn't top that grew just like yours but wanted get feedback from you before I topped my second NL which is a baby still at only two weeks today.

She's in a 3 gallon pot so maybe I'll leave her be and compare the yield and growth tendencies to her bigger sister which was topped but in a 7 gallon pot and her stems are mostly of equal height vs one main one and the node spacing is relatively close though they're all starting to stretch.

What size pot did you have her in?

Thanks for the response and that's a great yield for one plant even though I'm sure it was a headache as it was certainly for me in my case though for different reasons.
