Hey c5...read your grow from the beginning...nice clones...i c you had a coupla issues with rot and stretching, but its good that you are learning to control these variables...plants look VERY healthy otherwise...

I like the flowering shots at only 4 days old...amazing how fast bubbles grow huh?

yah im constantly amazed how fast they grow.. since i switched to bloom nutes the resevior water level hasn't been dropping as fast as it was... should i take the feeder tubes out

i'm no pro by any means with hydroponics...i dont wanna give you the wrong answer...maybe roseman or won of those pros can answer that question for the both of us to know :)

Yeah I recommend taking the feeder tubes and pump out at this point. The feeder tubes are mainly there to get the plants off to a fast start, but once the roots are in the water, they are not needed. I took mine out after just 2 weeks.

so then, ultimatly, the bubbleponic system turns into just a reg old DWC? Is there benefit to leaving the feeder tubes in when the roots hit the res?

Yeah bubbleponics is just DWC with a head start. After the roots are in the water, there is no difference in growth when using the feeder tubes. You could leave them in, but they'r ejust more work and more room for things to go wrong.

hmmm...good to kno...thanks for the help and info...this is good, because now without the pump in the res, this will lover my res temp a few degrees i'm sure...:mrgreen: +rep btw

I actually leave them in throughout veg. I pull them out of the baskets but let them spit water on the roots. Since I can't check on them till I get home at night, My plants are drinking some water. Sometimes two or three gallons a day. Which in turn brings my water level down drastically. So by leaving the tubes on even if the water drops by 3-4 gallons the upper part of the root zone is still being sprayed with water. Which increases the surface area of the receptive root zone, which mean they can take in more water and nutrients and grow faster. just how I do it...

Everybody has their own way of doing things, and if your water drops that much each day, then it's a good idea to keep the pump going.

Grow some sativas and your opinion will change during a 13 week flower! Pump helps with more than feeding. It helps o2 levels, temp, ect....but as long as everyones plants are healthy!

yah i just took mine out, the roots seems to be less dependent on the feeding stem(IMO) and are growing more roots like crazy. I also just added a bigger air pump and guys, i swear to you, the roots are growing near to where the majority of oxygen bubbles are coming up. BUBBLES work for sure

hell yah man, i've read threads on people using NO feeding tubes, like ROSEMAN(my idol) said would work, and i have no doubt.. without even growing the whole way without em, that this would work.. roots get most of their oxygen when they are not submergered in water i believe, this goes into the aeroponics debate, but i think the combination of feeder tubes, with bubbles, and then of course the DWC works the best. i'm a bubblehead ALL the way

2 are purple haze and the other 2 are CC .. carolina crippler. the PH grows a little faster but just barely. CC is some kinda new strain. my buddy gave me these clones to try. what a nice guy, he did for free. now thats how it should be. the new root growth since i took out my feeder tubes YESTERDAY! you can tell they are pure white. and they are growing in the direction of the bubbles. amazing.. i use to think of roots as just sucking up water. now i realize its all about the oxygen

Im hooked:mrgreen::eyesmoke::mrgreen:

:eyesmoke::eyesmoke::eyesmoke::eyesmoke:

Im about to go get more bubbles. max this baby out with air stones
