Lookin sweet, MH really does bring out the trichs I wish I had two of them. One for flower to go with my 600W HPS and another for veggin some short stalky little plants.

I decided I don't like short stalky mothers though, because they are too hard to clone.

Learning is fun isn't it?:leaf:

Taste better also with a MH!!;-)
I can only imagine......they smell like sweet fruit beech.Funny part is that i can't smell a thing when i go in the room, but my girlfriend said she could. Maybe cuz i'm there everyday and got used to the smell. Right now i have no carbon scrubber, just a bunch of odor eliminators around the room and outside the room. Smells like orangecicle ice cream all the time!!!

not really ,the cam is like $120, i use a 30x jeweler's loupe off ebay. it's like $4.00
Ok, so you hold the jewelers scope up, then take a pic with your camera?

I would think it wouldnt work right because you would get the close up from that, then everything around it in regular view. I would think it would look all messed up.

I am getting the a 100X one

Ok, first get ya gals out of the miracle grow soil asap get some organic pete moss based soil, Fox farm soil is the shit to use. also get the trio pack of foxfarm nutes. i started with miracle grow trasplanted to better soil and started using the nutes un real the results, CFl's are good for early vegging but some times cause stretching which you dont want in the limited space you are using, invest in a hps you can get a 150 w for under a hundred bucks. worth the money it will prevent the stretching. if and when you order the light get some mylar its cheap and works allot better then the white paper and is safer doesnt hold heat. Research research research is the best thing you can do know as much as you can so you can see problems before there not reversible. I just finished week six of flowering on my first grown im using a 250 w hps and 4 cfls to light lower buds the buds look ridiculous. to keep your plants short dont waite to long to veg they will continue to grow during the first 2-3 weeks of flowering so keep that in mind i recomend 7-10 inches start on 12/12. i waited to long and i got 4 foot plants which are a little big for my area plants hold allot of heat so its tough for me to keep my temp down even with a intake and exhaust fan. not sure what else i can tell you, it has turned into a complete obsession of a hobby allot of fun to watch progress. Good Luck! any questions just ask!

I think he's got all that covered.. I highly doubt he'll be plopping plants into MG again.. (If he does, I'm outta here:) )
Top quality products are definately worth considering, but FF soil is a bit expensive (understated) when you can build a ton of your own quality soil FAR cheaper without any loss of production/quality..
Mylar can be a giant pain in the ass though.. I resorted to making a few rigid mylar panels that I could place strategically, and went flat white for the bulk when the mylar got too annoying..
Personally I think 7-10" is too big to start 12/12, but thats kinda growroom dependant..

Well....thank you mr. obvious!!!!
But i ask that if you come to my journal and read it to learn something, that you actually read more than the first post that was almost 3 months ago.
If you had you would see that I already have a basic grasp on everything you mentioned above. Thanks for the info, but it seems you have alot of learning to do before giving advice.
Step1. Read an entire journal before posting nonsense that was already discussed months ago.
Thanks man, welcome to RIU, and hope you soon learn a little bit about this thing you call a hobby, but i call an income. Have a nice day!!!:weed:

True, mylar is a pain in the ass!!!! but you can't get much better on reflection of light i think.
FF soil is expensive as hell, I have been using a sta-green brand from lowes. Seems to work fine cuz it doesn't have mauch for nutes in the soil, so they get about two weeks of no nutes, then start gradually. The only addition i use is some perilite to aerate the soil a little better, and help with watering problems.
Got any pics of the mylar panels? Like to see those and see if i could use it in my grow.
Thanks born and i agree, 7-10" is too high to start 12/12. I like to keep mine short and bend the top over to maximize light coverage on the canopy. Like plant #6 i believe with the cluster of buds below the bent top.

Actually no.
I put the loupe up to the lens, it fits perfectly in the ring around the loupe. Zoom in on the camera a bit, to eliminate the ring around the outside edge of the pic. from the loupe.
Now you it takes a steady hand a few doobies to get that perfect shot, but they will look just like the closeups i take of the trichs.
i had a 60-100x from radio shack, but took it back because it was a little too close for me. Why do you need to see each stran of the plant tissue? 100x is too much, 30x works just fine. Maybe a 40-50 would be better but nothing over that is really needed.
Following this method, i get pics like this. No expensive camera, just a Olympus 7.1 megapixel w/ 3x optical zoom. Like $120.00 now probably.
Hope that helps Kratose. Thanks!!

FF is just idiot-proof.. Not many of the big-boys shell out for it because they can do as well without it.. My Air-Jordans never let me jump any higher..:)
Thing with mylar, to get the 95% reflection it needs to be installed perfectly.. Crinkles can bounce a ton of that light all over the place.. Flat white paint can reach about 85% reflectivity, and its not like working with a wet paper bag..
