Hey im a first time grower experimenting with some flourescent lights see if it was worth investing in some good lights/hydro set up or if I didnt have what it takes. I just got my pics uploaded so thats why im posting so many but i havent harvested any as of yet. any input is appreciated.

these are the two first plants i started in my closet. one turned out to be a male so i killed it but the other one is in its fifth week of flowering. I am a little dissapointed in it because it is in its fifth week and theres hardly any bud on it. it started of really well as you can see by the pics but now I dont know

With those long floro tubes it's best to keep the plant really short, and flat on top. Your next clones should have bending, Topping or LST done to them so they dont grow tall.

Those floro tubes might be better for side lighting, where the CFLs could be placed right over the cola of the plants, with a reflector. I know you're think this may require a lot of CFls, but even a 13 watt, with a good reflector placed an inch or two away from the cola of the plant can yield impressive results. This requires a few more CFL bulbs, but not necesarily much more watts should you chose to use 13 or 18 watt bulbs. Especially if you keep those floro tubes as side lighting, you will be impressed with how just moving your lights around can effect your yield. If you don't use reflector for your CFLs you're automatically wasting a lot of the light power CFL's have to offer. No matter what you decide, using reflectors will help you double your potential yield.

Hope some of this helps. Feel free to visit my thread if you have any other questions.

I would personally add more lights
maybe 4 to 5 more to each plant
and some mollasses if you arent using it
and for those clones top them or lst like homie said the results are very very impresive

ill be watching

This plant came from some seed i found in some reggie but the plant looks nice.

Yea i hear ya man. I grew bagseed bud for a while when I first started growing.

I remember this one bag I had.. was my last bag of bagweed and the bud looked like shit. Like it was picked WAY to early.. or just not taken care of at all.

I grew two plants out of that bag, and one was female, other male. Killed the male.. and grew the female. The female looked sexy ass shit bro. And, when I harvested my grow. It looked/tasted/smoked 100% better when I grew it.

thanks for the input bro. after starting this thread I been doin a lot more reading and I seen that those cfls seem to work a lot better. Just wish I had read up first before I bought the lights but I think Ima do what you said and just keep those for side lights and then get some cfls with those reflectors that have that clamp on them. Thanks!

its for flowering creates sugar(cannabis uses sugar to make flower as with most plants)1 to 2 tablespoons every other watering

and for now I would stick to soil till you get your touch down allot more forgiving

Na bro actually those plants got stolen about two weeks after I took those pics. Luckily I got those clones off of them. I am a huge fan of cloning because I hate growing a plant from seed and then finding out that its a male. Also its surprisingly easy. I reccomend the product "Olivia's cloning gel" It works great.
