Outdoors in S.Fl and my chemdawg from seed now about 2 months old and 4'to 5' and flowering in JUNE? Wondering how long from flowering to harvest as not use to flowering this early and not sure of grow time and does height continue to increase at pace or slow? Mixed in garden and before long will overtake in height will have to train horizontal if height increases to much.
Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated..

Great site look forward to using ...Keep it Green!

IMO the plant in these pics is not flowering it looks like it is popping more shoots to me. Most people say ten or eleven weeks flowering time for Chemdawg . Dirrtyd

those are just preflowers dude. when a plant is veg'd long enough it will show sex on its own. that just mean your plant is fully matured.

its kinda like how a cherry tree first blossoms with little flowers and then the cherrys develope out of them. that plants is just saying its ready to be pollenated, but obviously you wouldnt want to do that haha.

those buds will probably continue to get a little bigger but it wont go into full flowering for about a month or two. you've still got some veg time left. im not an expert though so dont take this as 100% fact.

i made this thread to help people understand outdoor flowering times better. take a look if you want and if you have any questions, ask them there.

Thanks man. Pics are a few weeks old.Every node has white hairs and getting bigger and that is just pre-flowers? So are you saying it still hasn't shown male or female yet? Before I always had in pots and moved in and out to control light but have never had this Strain before.

Thanks again Dude. Any way to curb Height?
theres topping, Low Stress Training, FIMing(fuck i missed), a super cropping. i personally like super cropping and FIMing.

Topping and FIMing are slightly different. when you top you cut between nodes but when you FIM you only cut the new growth tip at the very top of the plant. i think the plant recovers faster when you FIM than if you top it.

LST and Super Cropping are also different. LST is when you just bend the plant over and tie it down so it grows horizontally. when you Super crop you pinch the stalk until it weakens and then fold it over and tie it down and once it heals you no longer haver to tie it down. this reroutes the hormones to the side grown so they think they are the tops now. its hard to explain so here a good thread about it.

non of these techniques are really better than the other, its just whatever you'd prefer. since your plants already so big you'd probably just wanna Top of FIM since it doesnt look like you have that much horizontal space.

I'm in the same boat as height with my girls is starting to get out of control, I'll be tying mine down this weekend. If I were you i would just go pic up some garden tape at the local shop or home depot and tie them down. It's as simple as tying the top and anchoring it down. Not only will it help with the height issue but you'll open up the plant and potentially improve yield.

Here is an example

Thanks dude I have thought about tying mine down as well and probably will. Its about 6'H and 6' in diameter already and will just try to keep it going horizontal rather than vertical until "Flower-Power" time gets here.
