Pounding them with nutes can go either way with as much time left as you have..... It can cause nanners if you go too hard but I wouldnt really worry to much about tapering off, its not a bad idea but I'd personally bump them up a little over the next few feedings to try and catch up and then either go back to what your feeding them now or maintain what you bring it up to and then just go with water only, there will be nutrients in the soil being released even when you are just hitting them with water.... I'd try to figure out what they need exactly and try to give them just that rather than just hammering them with a nutrient package.... If they are fading I'd say they need N, but be VERY light with the N, that will fuck your whole shit up to far into 12/12..... Light airy buds arent cool (the result of too much N to far into 12/12), i'd rather deal with some dense nugs that I had to pluck the crunchies out of personally.....


Post some pics of the ones in question if you can.... Could be N or something else..... better to figure it out first...

It looks more like a magniesium fade to me, but whatever, I can only hit them with a nute package because I dont have specialized nutes that just deliver N, and they are almost at the normal nute feeding level

random, but relevant question: If I were to grow a plant like Qrazy Train for 14 days seedling stage, 30-40 days veg, and 55-60 days flowering, and I was growing in roots organic soil with a small layer of hydroton clay balls for drainage, how big of a pot would I need? Im using three gallons now and its much too small, Im thinking of getting 5 gallon air pots, but I was wondering if thats too little, and I should buy 7gals instead.

Bigger is always better for organic growing, or generally for soil growing as well bigger root zone = bigger/more buds.....

But 5 gallon would work, especially an air pot or smart pot but 7's or bigger would definitely be better.... Usually, 5's are fine for anything if vegged a month and under or so, anything more than that 7's and up.... 3 gallon pots are good for 2 weeks or so of veg and then flower, as long as we are talking 8 week +/- bloom strains.....

I said 14 days for seedling, 30-40 for veg, and 55-60 for flowering coming out overall to somewhere in the 99-114 day range, but if anything more than a month if veg is a 7 I honestly think a 7 would be best, I dont know how much a 7 galloner would drink though, right now Im feeding them 1 gallon and they are in 3 gallon size pots (waaaay to small I know)

pics of this little clone i took a while back just for shits and giggles i threw it in the corner of the flowering room: and finally the plant with the most strech, seemly dense-ist buds, and smelly-ist: what does the grow room smell like? Im not good with smells, but someday I will be able to upload them to the internet. I think there is about two weeks of life left for these gals, the last week im going to feed with water, the fade seems to have stopped because i gave them 1.5 tbsp flowering nutes(45ml nute ratio is 1-4-5) 1 tbsp of veg nutes(30ml of nute ratio 3-2-4) and 2 tsp of cal-mag(10ml of nute ratio 2-0-0) to 1 gallon of water, pH at 6.0. I ran out of molasses, got to buy that sometime soon. They are getting beefier by the day cant wait until harvest. stay lit

They look awesome jim, you say the colas look small compared to some other dudes photos, I normally pinch the tips of the bud out just as they start to form, this apparently makes them bigger. I didn't do it this last time, and my weights were down about three oz. could be the bulbs are getting old, but I'm going back to pinching the tips out just to be on safe side

Please explain this pinching technique....

pinching technique is used by old school growers like my dad. originally intended for tomatoes i don't think this makes any difference in yield. I think it just encourages more production where u pinch it but also be extra careful these dense buds are more susceptible to mold . he did this to an outdoor plant of mine and the bud he did it to ended up moldy. I think its smarter to do it earlier so you don't make it too compact, thus restricting airflow and increasing mold probability

The ladies are looking nice! You know, I've been lurking on these threads for awhile now and its nice to see people learning and putting out some good grows on here. You seem like you've absorbed a lot of information on here and put it to use. Lots of good people around here willing to pass on their knowledge!! + rep for doing something with it.

Hey bassman999, the pinching technique is from Mel franks marijuana growers guide. He basically just says "the secret to huge colas under lights is to pinch the growing tip early in flowering". Like I said, this last crop of mine looked just as big, if not bigger than usual, yet I was down three oz- only difference is I didn't pinch the tips of the buds- coincidence? Maybe, but 3 oz is 3 oz so I won't ever not do it again just in case
oh, by the way- I don't ever seem to get huge cola's, just chewing the cud really

someday smells tastes and physical feelings will all be accsessible on the internet. anyway sorry for not being here and not updating, i got a little under 8.5 ounces in the end, the one with 8 heads yielded the most. I will do better next time. Its going to be two closets, one with a single plant under a 600 watt hps and the other is going to be my multi-shelfed veg chamber with the mom on the bottom and the little clones up top, im going to be using cfls for the veg chamber, ill try out that pinching technique, sounds sorta like bullshit though ahahahaha but hey you never know
