If anyone can help me i have an aeroponic cloner with four clones (just over a week old) running 4 mins on one min off the clones are healthy with new growth but no roots. im using a double batten grow fluro 24 hours on straight with no dark period (not sure if this is a drama) and i also spray the clones foliage with a dilute seaweed solution rich in B1. the nutrient is cloining liquid with a diluted grow nute. any help guys would be appreciated. first time clones have survived (last time i tried in grow blocks and they all died)

Honestly I'd only spray PHed water on my clones. 24 on is okay I use the same light schedule.

How many times a day are you misting?
Do you know your water temp?
How long since you cut the clones?

How often are you checking them?

To begin you got the timing wrong, it's one minute on 4 minutes off, but that's a moot point because it shouldn't matter that much, personally I prefer 15 min on / 15 off but if your environment is in check it shouldn't matter.

I wouldn't bother spraying them with anything, the less you add the better it is in my opinion. It can take up to a few weeks for cuts to clone so give it some time and keep it simple.

It can take a long time as long as they still look healthy dont worry about it. I run my DIY bucket aero cloner's pump 24/7 straight water (No B1, no clonex, no IAA/etc just plain well water)with a couple drops of H202 just incase something yucky wants to grow, but I've never had a problem. I just do it for insurance beacuse I really dont feel like cleaning the sprays/pvc out if it did happen). My temps are around 68-70 ish Takes around 10-12+ days give or take, they usually all root, every once in a while you get a slowpoke. I like to leave them till roots are about 12" or so then into soil that is thouroghly watered and spray for a few days till the roots spread out a bit in the soil. Once you figure it out 1 time its easy. Basically if your clone looks good(is standing up straight, not droopy, looks healthy just hang in there) Takes longer than you think it should, I think you just need more time, I wouldnt bother spraying them if they look ok. They will sometimes yellow a tiny bit right as they are putting roots out, but its no problem they recover once they get some nutes.

IMO, You simply need more time.

My cloner is similar to this one https://www.rollitup.org/do-yourself/263011-diy-clone-5gal-bucket.html I use a little different configuration on the PVC, use EZ-Cone sprayers and mine is 12 site.

i try to check them at least twice a day and each time i check them i mist. i know the water temp is fairly low approx 21oC. theyre about 9 days old now they have healthy looking growth im wondering if i am watering them too much as japanfreak recommended..

If everything else isn't perfect, giving them 24/0 can cause additional stress which can inhibit normal, prompt root growth in an aero cloner.

Also, I keep my res temps (veg, cloner, flower) all at approximately 19 degrees C. The general rule of thumb is 19 degrees C +/- 3 degrees.

If you see new growth your light is too close.

sorry dont want to appear to be a dumb ass but what is the ideal height for the fluros from the plant tops? there i was thinking it was going alright last time i tried cloning i baked the plants by mistake

I keep my cfls about 30 inches above till they root then I lower them down to as close as I can get. Plants don't actually need any light to root so keep low watts high.

Every humidity dome that I've seen posted is flawed. I haven't seen any drain/air hole(s) and everyone has neglected to place a single layer of gravel for drainage and to accomodate clones taken from immature mothers. The airholes in the top of these humidity domes are creating problems. I have used rockwool with 100% success for many years. I cut my cubes from slab into 2" x 2" cubes. It is important to have the cube sitting upward and never touch the rooting area of the plant with your fingers. I use a #2 powdered rooting agent. Be sure to fill your cubes using a sprayer with ph balanced water and give them a light misting before you close the bin. Cool white tubes are best for cloning. Keep your bin up high and the room between 75-80 degrees F, then you won't need a heating pad. Using this method I get roots in 5-7 day. Clones taken from an immature mom will form roots through the bottom of the cube and clones from a seasoned mom will grow roots mainly through the sides of the cube. Keep the lights on 24/7 for your cloning bin.

a couple of things in my expierence.
1 just wait, unless it has been over a month, don't worry
2 some plants get pissy in aero... aka will never root or do a shit job of it
3 dont worry about the new growth if it looks good. Hell after 2 weeks i boost the lights no matter what.
4 warmer is better but not hot that causes problems, watch out for alge!
5 tap water works just fine, but there is a reason cloning hormones and chemicals are expensive (they work)

shit i had a citrus tree that i had to pull a Sohpie's choice on to continue to clone (after 3 months) or repair/ enlarge my system needless to say i chose the upgrade...

ive decided to put my clones in orchid pots surrounded by hyrdoton and manually water. i think a combination of my cloner and temps have affected the clones. will let everyone know as soon as i see those lovely first fine white roots.

I hope you see em soon. This should be easier to manage. My first attempt I tried to use a DIY bubble cloner. Didn't work so great. So now I stick them into rockwool and spray them once a day no dome just 1 2700k cfl.
