So ive checked out all the different manifolds that are on this site and sites and i took the the dimesions and created my own design manifold, I didnt want to copy someone elses, I wanted to creat my own so here it is. its going to be held securely to the bottom of the bucket with suction cups on all 4 corners, theres 8 risers, each will have an 360* EZ clone(rainbird type) sprayers. The reason I particularly like my design is because all the piping is basically under water except for the sprayers giving root room to grow without the piping getting in the way and getting tangled and whatever else. Anyways let me know what ya'll think!

Its not finished yet that why I explained what it will look like...

Its universal you can make the lid to have 8 or 9 holes to grow clones or you can make a lid for a single plant, if its a single plant there lots of roomIin the center area of the bucket for a huge root ball

Just a bit more than needed. I use 8 sprayers in a 27 gal system, there will be no benefit with that many in that small area.

Yea I guess, but at least I made too many rather than not enough right.. if anything my nutrient solution will be mixed up really good and aerated well enough

I guess, but in a 5gal bucket you really can't have too few because one is plenty. I have made probably 20 different designs over the years and I started with the same, "more has to be better" attitude. Pretty much once the solution is mixed it doesn't really separate, my ppm will maybe change by 10-20ppm after stirring it if it has been a few days. As for aeration, the main factor is temp when wanting oxygenated water. Not trying to sound mean, just a lot of experience with only aero/hydro.

i have one similar. yes fewer risers but almost identical i came up with on my own.

my question is what do you use to hold the plants? do you use net pots? with your choice of rocks? rockwool? how do you hold and stabilize the plants in the lids?

some pics would be totally awesome.

on a side note, do you think the white bucket will let too much light to the roots? i plan on painting mine black until i can get back to the hydro getting place and get some black ones.

i got the little black foam discs i guess maybe can hold small seedlings or small clones but once they start getting some heft to them...........

i do got a couple net pots and some grow stones of some kind, but in the aero will the roots get wet enough? up until the rootball gets really big i mean?
