my cuttings in propagation.

Hello guys,

I wanted to ask what material would be good to cover my propagation dome during the unrooted cutting period? I have a 300W CFL which I was going to hang high up above the dome, or would this be too much light for this stage, even with some material covering the dome?

They usually come with a clear plastic lid. They need very little light. Wiht 300W I would put it about 18-24" above at least. May make more sense to get a few normal 32W CFL for it to be safe.

I've used a piece of paper towel. Don't know how much it helped but I could definitely tell a difference. It doesn't leave that dry out out spot in the middle where the light hits. And I agree with above. I would recommend a 60w CFL or two above it, but work with what ya have..they really need very little light
