My DIY 4 light flip box

Hey guys!

I needed a 4 light flip, and found plans on the net how to build them, after i found the relays, the rest of the stuff i had laying around minus the timer and box. the plugs come from a discarded uninterrupted power supply, I liked how they were all together, and the back of the plugs were so easy to wire up. I will prolly build a 6 or 8 light flip next! ;-)

here is a quick pic of the finished unit.

what you think?

i pm'd you a link, although, once a guy finds the relays, its pretty easy to figure it out. just remember, you need to use magnetic ballasts for this, they dont work well with digital's.

hey guys, I hooked up the flip box today ,and all the lights. I also wired in a 450 cfm fan to it so it runs when the relays click over to power my small er room with the vented shades. It all works awesome! Looks like i'll be building a 3 or 4 relay box soon. ;-)

Shit! I wish I still did powdercoating... I had a 3' wide, by 6' high and 2' depth curing oven, that I made out of an Dual In-wall Oven that I found on Craigslist. I could pretty much powdercoat anything you brought to me.

I could apply it this situation on those metal panels.. I'd be able to make them flat black, and it'd look like a manufacturing lab designed it! I plan on getting back into it at some point, so that all of my DIY projects have to way to get some durable color.

and, of course.. you could always spray paint it.
