My DIY flood drain tables, showing how I did it, and looking for any advice.

Here is the basic layout. 18gal res tote and roughly feeding a 13gal. bed. Bed is 21x39' if memory serves:joint:. Timer kicks the 170gph pump 4 times a day for 15min, 400w HPS lights in DIY cooltubes, on right about 1/3 CNS17 GROW, and some H202 in there. Wood frame to hold the beds it was easy for me to do and strong. Almost forgot this is a sealed room with 1200ppm C02. Temp are 84-86F day, and 70 or so at night.

A pic with half sick plans from a dwc rescue, and the other half on the left are fresh clones that went 12/12 on 11/11/11.SAM_0124.jpg

Here they are a few days ago a little bigger yet and seem to be happy. As you can see Ive got them sitting in pots with Hydroton, and clones in rockwool. SAM_0162.jpg

Strain is a Subcool Blueberry. and the above pic is tonight 11/26, so plus 15 days flowering on these BB clones.

Tell me what you think folks.

Here is a couple more pics of the other flood table. All a blueberry these are the girls that I had the painstaking time into figuring out what genome I desired to use. A few in here are the two I decided to clone from. Important note is that at one time or another all these had terrible problems with root rot, bad cultures, and all related to massive heat damage in DWC systems( too much light/heat for my own good, mostly fixed). Now three weeks into their recovery sence transplanting them to the flood systems that I have to say, least saved the entire lot of them. Home depot sells a cement mixing Tub, 24.5x35.5x7.5 for like $13. It is very heavy duty. Look in my sig I have a diy flood & drain there also.
I just recently decided to go much bigger since I have the room and found my local hydro offering for $112 a 4'x6'x7" Flood & drain table, I had him order me one yesterday LOL. I will make the stand for it out of pvc. i will use my diy for early stages and mothers.

Looks kill man, I had almost went with the cement tub. But Im working with an odd space, and the two underbed totes were 13 for two. Not sure if it makes a difference or not but they also have drain grooves in them.

My biggest issue with clear or white is the attraction it has with algae. Clear you are opening up to algae all the way around and through, so make sure you do something and cover the outside of that unit. Otherwise your diy F&D is nice man, I like the diy....
wish I could find something in a much bigger size, but I dont feel $112 is bad for a 4'x'6 table, everythign else will be diy, such as pvc stand, Rubbermaid container for res, also will allow me to keep the container out of the grow room to keep the res a little cooler. I never used chillers and my res on my small diy one gets about 84F with lights on, but so far has never caused an issue with the plants, but moving it out and being about 1.5x the maount of water will surely allow ther eg to stay under 74F.

You are so right sir. I manage to keep it clean using H202, in small levels. Every 4-5 days during a flood I add in 10ml h202, this dose a very good job keeping the nasty crap out of it.

In a 14gal. res. that is way below the suggested amount of 30%.
