I've been wanting to ask you about that....the plants as a whole do smell ratherr beautiful, but the buds itself stilll smell like plant. When do you think that will change?

Well each strain is different, i do kno some strains dont really stink that much, and others will fill up your whole house with stank haha.
But its still early, im sure once she starting putting on more wight ina couple weeks she will develop a nice aroma.

just read the whole thread, props bro, first led journal i'm gonna follow and i've enjoyed your thread, +rep great work so far man excited to see how they do!
Thanks buddy....I originally titled it Aerogarden, but then I realized there's only so much you could do with it. So I made my own AG with a 5gallon litter bucket, 2 5" air stones, and a 40gallon pump. There are so many bubbles in there, and plenty of room for those roots to go, so I figured my ghetto setup was working.

As far as for the LED....I love it man. My next grow, I have a 600w hps ready to go. I will use the LED for veg stage again, and during flowering, crank up those 600 watts and use the LED for filler lights at the bottom.

Once again...thanks for the props buddy.

Sicc....what's your impression on the carbon filter buddy? For my next grow, I purchase one of those 4'x4'x7' enclosed grow rooms. I also have a new 600w hps ready to go as well. Do you recommend the carbon filter, or what would you suggest. Once things are going on a schedule, I plan on always having 2 in flower 2 in veg.

cool set up. Let me know how the led light works out, i looked into getting one, but i read nothing but bad things about it so i didn't buy it, i decided to go cfl route instead. but yeah, let me know how it goes for you and if all is well i just may have to invest in one or 3.

More bud porn update.

Girls are looking great! I've increased the guano tea to the plants now. I give it 1qt a week of 4x distilled guano tea. Custom made recipe. Lemme know if anyone needs it. pH isnt affected at all!! Amazing!

Guano Tea Recipe

1.) Start off with a 1qt water bottle.
2.) Fill with 4 tsp. of bat guano powder. (I use Indonesian Bat Guano)
3.) Once the powder is in the bottle, fill to the top with warm tap water.
4.) Close bottle, and shake vigorously until guano has been mixed well with the water.
5.) Let it sit for 10 minutes, and shake vigorously again.
6.) Grab a sheet of paper towel.
a. Fold it into a cone and stuff it into a funnel. (This will act as a filter)
7.) Open the guano mixture and pour it through the funnel into another empty bottle.
a. A majority of the guano will be stopped by the paper towel.
8.) Once it has been fully filtered, the water will look considerably lighter.
9.) Grab another clean paper towel and do the process over 4x.
10.) When everything is said and done, the tea will look light brown but not anywhere near what it looked like before the process was started.
11.) You now have a pH neutral guano tea that’s ready to go.

Hi Jazz,

Me again, and may I say DAM that fat 1 in the middle pik looks good enough to eat.

Hay I got a question about your LED. You said it was a quad spec UFO, and I have been looking at them on ebay. What I have found is 7th gen listed as 8:1,or 7:1:1, or 6:1:1:1. Even some all 1 color. Almost all of them say try band or quad band and they all show you the little spectrum chart. Now I understand and can see that 8:1 is 1 blue for every 8 red LED and 7:1:1 is most times 1 blue and 1 orange for every 7 red LED's and so on. What I'm haveing a problem with is whats better for what. I think I want 1 for veg and 1 for flowering. So whats better for what? Also what do you have?

I love the hole LED concept, and keeping it green and cheep. Man what you have done with it is great. I'm just afraid of making a $150 mistake.

I've attached a spec list of the exact LED light that I purchased. I feel your worries Gom, because that was the same way I was when I purchase it. The quad spectrum that I have has colors red, blue, orange, white. People will tell you red is all you need, but the plants seem to like the color spectrum. Use the spec sheet that I've attached as a guideline when you purchase your lamp. Hope that helps!

Day 37 Flowering

My mouth is watering more and more day by day. Another 40-50 days or so and those suckers are mine. =) I'd say there's at least 3/4oz on S.I.R. Purple Mr. Nice Guy has diddly squat. =(

FYI - I tried doing research on S.I.R - the strain i'm growing right now. My buddy got it from a contact in Vancouver - and after my research i've concluded that this is Canada's version of America's G-13.....only the canadian medicinal strain. If you wanna look it up...it's S.I.R. Has anyone else heard of this strain?
