Yeah, yesterday, I decided before the lights went out at 10 pm I moved the plants down so they are now about 5-6" from the lights. I just woke up and they have been on since 4am and I can see a lot more growth up than I had before. Even one of the plants that was growing ultra small sprung up. I do need to water them today the soil is really dry even at the drainage holes. I've just been watering them till I see run off and then let them drain for about 15min the back to the lights. But your totally right just going to be patient and not try and rush these. When I take them out for watering I'll get some grow pr0n for ya.

edit: here is a group photo and a pic of the best grower.

OK so wow, I was out of town for a long weekend came home to these. I'm for sure glad I waited. But I am switching the lights out tonight and starting flowering because I do have limited grow height and space. I do see why some people said I will run into space issues... But I'll figure that out when i get there. So here they are.. pic1: group, pic2: the smallest of the bunch, pic3-4: the one with the best foliage.

Yeah, I'm not arguing that, its just from all the reading the plants are going to shoot up alot in flowering and since I have a short grow room I've read people starting flower early to adapt to the height jump. So keeping my fingers crossed from here on out.

Welp day 2 of flowering the babies are looking good. Going to pick up the nutes in the next few days I decided to go with the Fox Farm Tiger Bloom and Big Bloom as a pair. I had a slight heat issue, but was easily resolved and plants are looking better. I let them get a little dry so I gave them a little extra water. I've been reading about topping and LST, I have 3 alt nodes on all plants, just not sure where to start. From the reading I need to wait for them to get another set of nodes anyway. Let me know your thoughts.

heres a thread on how to lst....https://www.rollitup.org/indoor-growing/6834-how-lst-low-stress-training.html

lst is alot harder to do and more involved than topping a plant...topping and plant is just triming the top off i think a week into flowering in which would produce 2 colas instead of one...where as lst is usually done from start to make the plant grown laying down basically to where u only have the main cola i think. i think that process is supposed 2 be used with autoflowering seeds or something i think. but check it out...at this point i think u should b looking more toward topping the plant a week in...and not worrying about lst at this point

Yeah, I read that same thread, but alot of people say you can start it later and get the same affect. Plus it produces more bud spots. I read this thread on topping and training. http://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?p=2214345#post2214345
Its very indepth check it out.

But thanks for the info. I'm going to look more into that. I also read about another way of topping that gets 4 kola's rather than 2 and combind with a scrog should produce nicely. But I have a few days yet to figure out which way to go. cheers

ps. I also added a homemade co2 canister for the grow room. Just used the simple guide from the faq.

Ok well here we are Day 28.. never thought I'd make it this far. The babies are all looking very amazing when I checked them this AM. They are all a very nice green but seem to have lost some of the smell :!: . I picked up the nutes as I said went with the recommended FF soil nute pack. Doing the first feeding tomorrow will update again sunday when I get back into town.

Ok just got back into town and wow they have grown alot in the last 3 days. They all have about 5 alt. nodes now, I'm starting to keep an eye on the top nodes for sex, I'm hoping to find out this week because I'm really running out of room. I have a few that kind of look to have pistols but then again it could just be new leaf growth. As I was taking them out to check the soil and get pics Plant B pic 2 slipped from my hand and fell over  .. I checked the stock and all the alt nodes and found no breaks or bad bends so Keeping my fingers crossed I didn't kill it. ....Mental note for next grow no more than 3 plants at a time in this box....

So I woke up after getting like 12 hrs of sleep.. Long weekend. I checked my babies and was surprise by these little pistols sticking out of plant B (pic 1) I checked the others and they all have what look like areas where pistols will be coming out of as they match the faq pic female after 10days flowering. I'm not counting my chickens before they hatch.. but I could have 5 females on my hands.. which is going to really hose me because I only planned on having 2 or 3 survive this long.. Pic 2 is what the other 4 plants are starting to show on the 4th and 5th nodes.

Just plucked my first male from the box. Two balls on about ever node. So Im down to 1 female and 3 non showers so far. I've slow come to realized all my errors during this grow. I've started a list of things to start while in veg and things to start while in flower.. first things first less plants in this small grow box. even after taking out 1 things still seem cramped. But this is why I'm only using bag seed instead of pricey fem seeds.

Ok so I'm 12 days into flowering and have only had 2 show sex... at what point should I start worrying about the other plants?

edit: Ok cancel that woke up this morning and 2 others showed female and one showed male. thats all of them. Pretty stoked. And here is a pic of my 2nd male pic 2, and my 2nd female pic 1. The third plant is starting to show pistols but they are to small to get a picture. any who cheers bongsmilie

Ok, well the plants are all about 7" from the bottom of the lights which is concerning because I know I still have a lot of growing left. I'm wondering if I could start a scrog of some sort to stop them from getting to much closer to the lights. Any feedback would be great.

I ended up with 3 females. They are looking strong, gotta get them out for some fresh water soon and to make some adjustments to the grow box to accommodate the height they are going to get.

Ok so it seems like its been a few days since I updated. Had a little scare when watering them yesterday plant B(pic2) all her leaves were super droopy and soil was bone dry gave her a liter of water over a few minutes so the soil would soak in as much as possible. Plant E(pic3) is showing sex, but seems to be a few days behind the rest. Other than that they are doing amazing here are some pics.

I've decided to go against transplanting this late in the game and to help with the height issue I will soon run into I've setup the top of the grow tub so it can be lifted up as needed and I'll use white poster board to wrap around the gaps.
