My First Bagseed Grow.

Hey all, I managed to get my hands on some bagseeds so i've decided to go completley through with a grow so heres where i will be posting pictures and asking a shit load of questions so drop by when you see a new post, any comment is much appreciated.

I am trying to choose between bubbleponics and soil, i have had a few years of experience with aquariums and i am over confident that i can control the water conditions however i have never grown a plant in water, only kept fish.

Only time will tell what setup i will go with, I definitely want to try my hand at a scrog.

Lights for veg:
8 x 45w t8
4 x 40w Cool

Lights for flowering:
8 x 45w t8
4 x 40w Warm

Pics of Do It Myself grow cab from 3' fish tank will be up soon. at the moment it will be setup just for one or two plants and when i get things going i might try and start a mumma clone and make the underneath of the tank into a little veg.

The only problem i see with the fish tank is every other cab ive seen has access through the front where as i will have to come through the top, although i will be leaving the front panel clear for viewing purposes, the hood does lift off completely and has a hatch at the front.

I could even spray the glass on the outside with a reflective silver paint >

Might do something this afternoon to it wish me luck in my build.

Ok so heres a little update, nothing went as planned in the beginning, i know i promised pictures and pictures speak more than words so here.

I ended up with one seedling from my bagseed and threw it in a 60L bin with some cfls:


Cabinet that i made after 3 weeks it is now 4 and a half weeks old, cabinet has space for a clone bubbler that i am in process of making pics will come eventually:


Plant is undergoing lst and seems to be nice small and bushy:


Thats all for now, i know this is not ideal but this is what i have. I want to know when i can turn it to flower in regards to the size of my cab its 4 1/2 weeks veg atm and i would maybe like to top it?

Will adding a DIY Co2 generator help out at all, there is good air movement inside cab and hot air is pushed through a vent by a fan sucking in cool ambient air from outside the cab?

Ok so i went ahead and topped it so i will give some update pics over the next few days and keep an eye on it

go soil first time.......you give CO2 at lights out, when fans aren't running. don't worry about it this time. focus on the girls. and remember........less is more. read the threads on here that pertain to you. great stuff.

Ok so Co2 during light off periods cool these are the sort of questions that i cant really find browsing the forum and the web, i wanted to know if you top before lights off because the roots will have to die off and regenerate differently so i topped it before lights off ye

cfl's should be within 2 inches of canopy. my friend tops with lights on. he's mean to plants, and found out they're tough.

Here are the update pics of what it looks like now that ive topped it for anyone intersted, Im happy about the rate of the new growth forming around the nodes and the new main top

Today marks 6 weeks veg and the first day of 12/12.

So i can see alot of new growth starting to form and where i decided to top the plant did something weird and it grew 3 shoots out in the same direction as well as i topped a few lower stems that are recovering well, im already starting to think about where i could go from here next grow will deffinatley see a lighting improvement and hopefully improve my space restrictions.

So quick update plant is a female im positive I can see the pistils forming and no balls on sticks. And a new seed sprouted today aswell so overall happy, will need to make a dark box now so I can veg this little sucker up and keep the first flowering. When I topped mine it grew 3 new sets of leaves where I topped it all out the same side so i don't know what happened there but ohwell, it's growing a lot faster now.
I will most likely top or fim new plant but no lst.

Picked up a new 40w cfl 240w equiv to put in the cab to spice things up a bit
