my first cfl grow any help very much appreciated.

Looking great Im about to lst 2 of my plants tomorrow should be an experience since I've never done..u got some bushy ass plant wish mine looked like that...keep up the good work

thanks south she was growing very good till i tried the last and fim tech on her she has been slacking the last few days plus i burned her a lil she seems to be responding well after two days now and where i decided to top her when i fucked up the fim is already starting to shoot out new growth her stem is very thick for her size i dont know if it is caused by the last i did or the finger pinch / supercrop i tried as well. anyway enough ramblin on here are a few pics i installed the fans today but didnt have time to fully reinstall my reflective material. i also cut two small passive intake holes. temp is stay at 75 f and the humidity is staying at 45 it seems like if i needed to cool it even more i could cut a few more passive intake holes because when i take the lid off it sounds like the fans can run freerer i also feel them sucking a good draft over my hands when opening the lid. who knows when i add the next 5 cfls i might need an intake fan too lol





also when can i put these close to the lights?

ok pics will be coming this evening and number one has pushed its two lil tops out and should be taking off again the lil seedlings suprised me after only being under the lights for about a half a day they have damn near doubled in size i will keep you posted as to how its going

Just wondering how loud are the fans..can u give me a relative answer??it would really help me out cause I should b getting two within the next week

ok after checkin in on the girls this evening i see that number one has some discolaration on her lower leaves i havent really overwatered i dont believe as i havent given her anything in 2 days. she is however shooting out new growth from where i topped her. hopefully she will be fine. i have installed the new lights and adapters and this fucking rubbermaid is glowing like a space ship lmmfao. i have had three new sprouts double in size overnight and are looking healthy. if anyone knows what is going on with the leaves on number one please tell me what i need to do. enough talking heres the pictures.

Well the closest description that meets that pic in the MJ problem forum here makes me think its an iron problem. I found a guide with pics but alot of reading so i passed on the reading part but this page might help diagnose your problem.

It's all up to the time you wanna put into it. to scrog or lst your going to have to be pretty hands on for quite a while, tying things down, weaving stuff through etc. Sog you could start a perpetual grow or just try and get that 1g per watt. (avg is more like .4 - .5 though that i have seen here in the forums)

ok i got with my buddy that has the cabinet on the first post of this thread and we have decided to do a scrog grow under a shitload of cfls. i have number one and number four from this grow https://www.rollitup.org/cfl-growing/193960-1st-cfl-grow-part-2-a.html in the rubbermaid till we get the cabinet worked out i will post some pics of these in a lil while

ok like i said the transformation from one plant to a shitload has happened and the inside of the rubbermaid is lookin a lil different today

i helped these out of the shell and broke the lil first leave things on them but yet the put out new leaves so they may make it as well

The one you removed the LST from and #4 look a bit yellow, like they want some Nitrogen.

lol. I feel you nitroman. That's the same reason my boyfriend and I picked up an interest on growing our own. Ten dollars here and there will get one frustrated, and buying oz's for 400-500 for anything that's not "reggies" will burn a hole in your wallet real fast.

I'm sure I'll get the hang of this soon. This is becoming more than a hobby for us.

ok weaver thanks bro but i need a lil more info you know im using the mg soil with nutes already added should i just put a heavy watering on them or add some kind of suplemental nute? thanks for checking back in weaver

make sure the ph in the soil is correct,too,,Your ph plays a major role in the growing process.

i just ordered a ph meter today hopefully that will tell me a lil more about what is going on. also if my ph is high or low what do i use to adjust?

also we made the new hood and moved everything into the cabinet at my buddies house so now they have so many fuckin lights they cant help but grow we also have several new editions to the grow so lets see what happens. we are plannin on doin a scrog setup in this box we will probably veg for two more weeks then add the wire and flip the lights 12/12

Absolutely. And remember to check your pH with the runoff, not so much the mixed nutes. That will give you a better idea of the pH changes being caused by your soil.

A great organic source of Nitrogen is left over fish bits...heads, scales, guts and that sort of thing. Make tea with it like you were talking about earlier. If you plant veggies outdoors, just bury those fish bits right under where you're going to plant your seeds...your tomatoes will love you.
