My First Grow, Any advice appreciated

Decided to start a grow.

Using the following :

Grow tent 80 x 80 x 160
Eurolight 250w HPS lamp, ballast and shade.
Autopot 2 pot system.
Growing 2 x Blue Cheese from cuttings
Autopot Canna Coco soil
Hollands Secret Nutriant pack
4" Carbon filter and fan



Just literally got this up and going, I've Set up the fan from the filter kit to keep the air circulating and will fit the filter at a later date. Also using a see through plastic storage container and keeping the moisture up by spraying with water.

Would really appreciate any hints or tips you can offer

Also i havn't yet rigged up the autopot system

One of them may be a kush , one has reddish stems and the other just a plain green colour, Anyone got any ideas which one is what ?

I can't be sure, but is that your ballast in your grow room? If it is in there, then you will want to remove that and place it outside your grow room. A magnetic ballast will heat up and really raise your temps past the point of what is recommended for growing.

A few of the tips of the leaves are going slightly yellowish , does anyone know what causes this and how to stop it?

As far as the tips of leaves if the the leave also starts curling up/heat stress need to cool down.Or too much watering will cause this problem too with weak looking plant.Or... not enough water and noe food can cause this problem too, many factors-So watch what you are doing.

I think the yellow tips appearing are from over watering as i think i've been a bit generous with the water, Fed them some prop-o-gator from the Dutch Passion Nutes pack which is to stimulate root growth. Again if anyone has any reccomendations on anything it would be a great help.

I have a air intake fan in the tent linked directly to a outdoor wall vent so it gets plenty fresh air and movement

Hey heres an update on my grow , now only have 1 power kush going currently at around 9-10 inches.
I have abeen having a few problems with the tips of leaves drying out and working its way inwards through the leaf.
I have halved the nutrient solution being used and am constantly adjusting the light here and there to work out the right height and make sure its not the light causing the leaves to dry out.
I will update with pics as soon as my pal returns from his holiday with the camera.

If anyone has grown Power Kush before i would appreciate some advice on when to throw this into 12/12

As far as 1212 goes.. When you put the plant into flower she is gonna stretch like fifteen to 20 inches so you have to time it right according to how much height you have

I flowered when mine were 4 feet tall.. Now some of them are over 6 feet tall and near unmanageable.. With indoor growing you need to keep the plants short and the canopy even so the light can get to it all and fatten up those nugs... some people put their plan to the flower the moment she comes up
