you can flower whenever you want.the plant will probably double or treble in size.and you'll have to wait and see how much you yeild.what kind of yeild will you be happy with?

Depends on how much space and light you have. If you have plenty of both you can veg longer. If you are restrained for space and light switch to flower now.

Well the lights effectiveness is limited I would probably go ahead and flower it now or train it so it grows wider instead of taller cuz like reinous said it will get taller when you switch.

i have a 250 watt mh and the grow area is 2'x2'x5'
You should have flowered already. A plant that is 18" at the start of 12/12 could possibly end up being 4.5-6ft tall... Hopefully you have indica dominant strains so they will stay shorter, maybe around 3-4ft tall at the end. A 250W light isn't powerful enough to let the plants get too tall, the light won't penetrate well into the depths of the plants when they are too tall.

as for yield, who knows. Depends on the strain, the nutes, airflow, growing medium, lighting, etc.. To many variables for anyone to really say.

i have another ? my lower larger fan leaves have brown spots and curled up is this a big prob?should i cut them off or just leave it alone?

as long as they have some green leave them. Sounds like you might have over fertilized or overwatered possibly..

Will Sexton? Will and the Kill Sexton? Your plant is zooming.

Are you going to top it, or anything?

edit: 2x2x5?

Check out Uncle Ben's Topping Technique and you'll max your yield.

how long does it usually take to flower? the website i got my seeds from says 55 days should i just do that?
If you'll read the link I gave you, it'll explain the botany. Whether you top, or not, or LST or FIM, your plants are in preflower now. I'd either top or FIM, at this point, and immediately go to a 12/12 light schedule. Your plant would explode in flowers. But, if you let it go like it is, you are going to have to do some sort of trimming later...and your yield will suffer. That's my opinion, anyway.

If you'd done this weeks ago, you'd have fairly well developed colas at this point.

i topped the plant and its pretty easy and i just started 12/12 yesterday i cant wait to see it explode thanks for the input...

I should've told you to water your plant 20 min before you cut it. It makes a difference, but it's not essential.
You will do ok, I reckon, just go easy on nutes. Most folks burn their first attempts.

i already see growth from where i topped it so i guess thats good.. and im using a bubbleponics system..i think u wher refering to soil
