My first grow! closet with 120w cfl's

I had a bag of random seeds that i have collected over the years. Decided to try out a small scale 4 plant closet grow. I designated my bedroom closest for the grow room and rewired a $10 home depot bathroom light fixture to power the cfl's. I began by drilling 3, 4in holes into the closet ( One at the top left corner of the main entry door"exhaust" then one into the face of the bottom door at the very bottom of the closest "intake" Lastly drilled a hole in the floor of the closet to allow the intake air enter the grow chamber from below . I then installed 2 ,4in in-line duct fans connecting the 4in flanges to the fans using ducting. As for the light i used a $10 3 bulb bathroom light fixture that i rewired using mogul base sockets to accept 2 large 120w daylight cfl's and 1, 68w warm cfl. For reflectivity i lined my entire closet with white polly plastic. I am currently 6 weeks into flower. In the later photos you can see their are only 3 plants as i accidentally dropped the light fixture onto the largest plant breaking the main stem completely in half. the plant survived but she hermied out so i removed it. This is my first grow and was totally experimental before i started my medical tent grow. So if you see anything that i should have done differently feel free to chime in. B.t.w, the medical tent grow is all permafrost. Have 9 plants, all in 5gal pots currently under two 4ft 8 bulb t5's. The tent is 8ftx4.5x6.5 and it is like a jungle in there.

You CFL guys blow me away with what you do with so little, you make MacGyver look like a hack. Those are great shots and they look very happy. All the best to you in your growing. I have a a room with $13,000.00 worth of equipment and grow awesome shit, the only difference is what I spent vs you, same results. Makes you wonder how guys with thousands in equipment can't grow shit. Your the dope dude, were not worthy....

This Bud is for you

Forgot to mention you should give Dutch Master Liquid Light and Saturator a try it will bulk up your plants in the early stage of flower.

You really have the nutrients dialed in, what are you using? When your tips are burnt like that it tells us your right on the money!!!!!

I am using Gen Hydro Flora series with GH Koolbloom. I am going to look into the DML & Saturator for my current Large tent grow. Your crop looks amazing! Would you mind me asking what lighting you used? As for the MacGyver side of things, I am a fabricator by trade and enjoy the self satisfaction of knowing that something i built from scratch works just as good if not better than store bought. + This shit is fun as hell!

Any pics? I am always on the lookout for diy hood designs.

Here are a few of a quick mother keeper tent i threw together using extra pvc and polly plastic sheet in-order to isolate a sick teen plant my buddy brought over. I built the hood out of scrap aluminum siding and a mogul base socket from a shop light. Add a hard-wired extension cord and you got yourself a a very inexpensive hooded cfl grow light.:bigjoint:

I use 1000w for all my flowering, 400 for seeds, clones and veging. If needed I have some 600w to tide them over if the rest are running late on flower.

Ya the garden looks good, it should, but that's why the comparison, gee I did this with a 1000w, will I hope so and than there is your grow with cfl's fucking amazing results, it just cracks me up the great results you get with your private grow. Most people have no idea the great plants you can grow with cfl's, you don't always need the big guns to get the job done.

Your grow will also act to inspire other budding bud masters to start small and go from there. Peace and positive vibes your way.

As this is my first grow i have only experienced what the 120w will produce. I have been told multiple times the 200w cfl don't produce much more lumen output over the 120w version. For the price I would definitely say i was surprised by the final product after using only cfl's.

just wonderin how many feeds a day with cfls and how long?
Feeds a day. Im gussing you mean light cycle? If so i ran 18/6-12/12 and watered every 3 days.
