MY first grow from bagseed - One plant and it's a girl!

Ok, here I go.
I was a little rediscent to post this (guess I'm a bit Pnoid), but whatever!

So here's my deal. I bought an ounce of some mids about 3 months ago.

I picked out like 8 seeds from the bag and tried to germinate them. Only one popped...

I popped it up through the soil with an incadescent (I know, I know).

Once it popped up, I used a 2ft long flourescent (don't recall the Kelvin rating on it) - just one - for about 2 weeks until I got another flourencent with a K rating of 6K (has a blue tint to it).

Ended up getting a soft-white one, which I put (lengthwise) on top of the other one (the lights were hanging on the wall).

So, with my limited knowledge (and before finding this site) I vegged it until it got to 18 inches... I wish I knew what I was about to get myself into...

Anyway, this is all while I learned that only females give off bud (duh). So, like I said, I vegged it until 18 inches, and I just put it into flowering 6 days ago.

Well, it's a girl!

So, this is why I am making this thread.
My setup is very (please please pardon the expression) ghetto. During the 12 on, I keep it in my closet (it's one of those long ones - like 3 feet by 10 feet), and during the 12 off, I put it under my kitchen sink, where I know for a fact it will stay dark (my computer is also in the closet, and I am on that shit all the time).

So, here's where I'm at now:

6th (going on 7th) day of flowering
9 inch pot
Used miracle grow (I hear bad, but too late).
2 - 42 watt CFLS at 3000k (one on each side of the plant)
The soft white 2ft flourescent horizontally over it, and that 6k flourescent hanging off the soft white one perpendicular (like an "L", but upside down).

Why do I get the feeling that won't be enough light?

Also: Gets about 85 degrees in here, but I have a fan blowing up (not on the plant itself)...

Also (oh man, I'm gonna get it for this), I used Miracle Grow plant food spikes 6-12-6.
And to make it worse, I used them during vegging WHILE using the liquid miracle grow (The stuff with more nitrogen in it)...

Surprisingly, it looks decent for what it has been through! A little nute burn here and there, but that is about it...

BUT, there are little leaves and stems coming from lower down on the plant - more towards the bottom. They are considerably smaller than the rest of the plant...

So, my dilemma is that I am broke as hell - no money to even buy cigarettes these days, so I am on beyond a shoestring budget, I'll be able to get a few more CFLS, but that may be it.

Any way I can get more Potassium for the flowering stage without spending alot of money? Also, I put the plant food spikes in it the day I started flowering (I just came across this site a few days ago, so please go easy ).

I will try to get pictures up within the next day or two. It doesn't look as full as some other plants I've seen on this site, but like I said - I think the poor girl is pulling through nicely for the hell I put her through!

Any help would be much appreciated.

Well it wont look as full because alot on here use big lamps from hell lolz.
Its doable with flouros, just not as much yield. I dunno about the soft white but thats only a small light (cool white and warm white are best to use)
cool in veg and warm or a mix of the 2 in flower. As far as getting potassium without paying, hmmm, im not sure, maybe bananas lolz, dont laugh it might actually work but im not sure. There are inexpensive nutrients you can buy to be sure, gotta go on a hunt. Id bust your balls for the Miracle Grow shit , but im exhausted with railing on it, alot probobly have used it on their 1st grows before they discovered other stuff. Some use it anyways, most dont care to. If your having success, than learn from the 1st try and do even better next time. Im not a fan of manual light cycles, and moving to a dark spot for 12, I prefer to keep em in 1 place and have em timered, inconsistancy will affect results, nature wont allow it and neither will I. If they look real thin and elongated than you need more light, if they have bushyness your ok, I dunno if I addressed everything, its quite a long post, anyways, welcome to the darkside.

Hey, you don't have to bust my balls for the Miracle Grow... I've been busting my own since I found out the right way!
Well, it sure does sound more like an art than a science...
And as far as the manual light cycle, yeah - I need a timer... I have been on point with moving it, however. To the minute if that matters...
Anyway, thanks for the input... I shall get these damn pics up and you could see what I'm working with.
I give it to my girl, though. She's strong. Must be from the rock music I play to her!

Ok, I have procured 3 more CFL's. Sweet.
And I also cleaned my closet out and got a timer, so I should be golden.
At the moment, I have two 42 watt CFL's on top (ALL 2700K), one 24 watt 3/4 of the way up, 2 (24 watt) CFL's flanking the bottom 1/4, AND 2 soft-white 24" flouro's on the wall parallel with the plant.
She's gonna love this...
Also, I have a little air cleaner/ionizer and a fan blowing up, just making the leaves rustle a tad - as well as a little container of water (about 4 cups) at the base of the pot itself (the flower pot!).
And to make it work for me (since my computer is cooped up in the closet), I used one of those moving blankets to partition my space and the plants space.
Let me put it this way: with all the lights on and the blanket down, only about 1% of the light comes through, and that is only through the little gaps at where the blanket meets both sides of the walls.
So a question, if I may. With that 1% leak of light (which I think is totally negligible), would the light from my computer monitors (2) leak through and fuck her up? I would say no, but what do I know?

Oh, and as far as Co2 is concerned, I am in this closet on my computer over 8 hours a day. Would my own Co2 be enough? She gives me oxygen, I give her Co2, right?

I don't know if you guys are listening, but I am still waiting to fuckin get pics up. No minutes on cell phone, and no digital camera, but she is looking OK, still...
Also (ugggh), it's a long story as to exactly HOW this happened, but I do lights off at 12am. I mistakenly engaged some of the lights for literally about 1-2 seconds by total mistake - trust me. This happened at about 2am.
The blast of light were only 1/2 of my lights (apparently I didn't connect ALL of my lights to the timer, so when I turned my computer on (using my other power strip), 2 or 3 of the lights went on for no longer than 2 seconds... I shut them down quick when I saw it happen.
Will that little blast seriously prolong the flowering process??

Shouldnt be too big of a deal, as long as it doesnt happen continuously, just reasure then that it wasnt a cops flashlight and they arent going downtown lolz.

Congrats on the baby girl...next time grab some clones or a fem-seed. Nice work tho. If you're growing in soil I would stop using the MG nutrients and give her a good flush...she'll appreciate it. Keep your pH slightly higher and lower the temp in that room as best as possible to about 75-78...Talk to her and tell her you love her...she'll love you back. Good job +rep

If there is a next time, I want that good shit that you guys grow here - NOT bagseed, but that crip shit, or the Blueberry stuff, or Northern Lights. Oh man, my mouth is watering as we speak!!!
Ok, so I'll fall back with the plant spikes. Can't check the PH, because I don't even have the cash to get test strips at the moment, but hopefully soon (being jobless sucks dick for coke).
And the temperature thing I'm worried about. During lights out it gets a nice 65-70, but with lights on, it's about 85. I have a fan blowing in that side of the closet, and that's how much it helps...
Oh, and she knows I love her . And I play her music all the time. She's likes her rock and her (new) Eminem.
