My first grow issues

My indoor seedlings 62 days and clones 33 days were in a flood and drain system in a 1/2 coco, 1/2 perlite medium being watered every 6 hours at 3/4 strength nutrients. started for the first 3 weeks under flouro's.
Now they're in a 4' x4' tent with a 1000 watt MH 42 inches above the plants with a temperature of 78 degrees. Reasonably ventilated.

Ever since they started doing funny (not funny haha funny wierd) things i've tried fixing problems by changing to run to waste to elimenate ph problems. Flushed the pot to reduce build up also cut nutrients back to 1/2 strength. let the water sit to be rid of chlorine. My symptoms and problems keep changing. Leaves curl down leaves curl up viens are green vein are yellow. leaves die off and now tips die off. I can't seem to find consistancy.

I think i have a severe case of newby syndrome. I've read to much, can someone shed some light on the topic.

smoke some pot relax...lol I feel ya I have to much time on my hands SoIkeep looking at my plants i notice every little thing. I know one thing people r gona wanna know how much you water,nutes,soil,hydro?and pics?
 
Not too sure on the strain i was just given them by a wise old man.
(he must have been wise as he had a great long beard)
So i started growing.

Any ideas on what would make a plant shrink in size to about half size. Almost minature in 4 days. :wall::wall:
 
My, my....... When I started growing I started with soil growing. In that way I was able to be successful right away. It is important not get overwhelmed by the complications. Every plant is a little different, even with clones. Relax and let them do their thing. I have never grown Hydro because it is complicated and there is a high mortality rate in the beginning during the learning curve. If I were to go hydro I would probably start with Hempy Buckets because it is simple.
 
Maybe the first photos didn't do them justice. Here are the plants againg in the same order and the earlier post.
They seem to be drying out, more so then developing a deficiency.
but once again i am a newbie and could be wrong can anyone help with a bit of advise pretty please.

When they look like the were lacking in nutes due to ph fluctuation i foliar sprayed. think that made them worse but it took a few day to get this way. I thought it might have been burning. My lights were 36 inches above the pots. I've moved them to about 50 inches now.
Thinking a 1000 watt might be a bit large for the little plants. Any thoughts on this??

GUCCI When you say soil do you mean soil inside or outside using soil. Was thinking of changing to perlite as coco was one of my worries for a first grow. (but i thought i would try half half to get a happy medium.)
 
I'm currently on my first grow. My medium consists of 1in. of hydroton on the bottom of pot, and 60% perlite and 40% coco soil. And then 1in. of pure coco soil on top. It's working for me really well.
