My first grow journal

Are you planning on transplanting later or is that 5 gal her forever pot?
I'm growing her to full in the 5 gallon pot.

But the next grow for the same autos I'm downsizing to 2 gallon fabric pots. This way I'll be able to grow 2 at once.

On my next grow I plan on making one of them into a Hermie in the same tent hoping that it pollenates the second plant.

This one I'm growing normally. I want to start breeding different strains. All I have is feminized seeds. So I'm going to make hermies and hopefully I get Pollen.
Okay I got ya. It's okay to MAKE a hermies but not cool when they Auto Flip themselves if so programed in their genes. That's my next project as well. I want to learn how to make fem and auto seed.
Ive read about it but that's nothing like actually doing it. After I get some jars filled I want to make some too.

The next grow is going to be O.G. Kush from RQS. It was a free seed from them.

This is the one I'm going to try to stess into a Hermie.

Here's the info I found out maybe to do it without using something like Colloidal Silver which makes it unsmokable.

If you introduce any light it will hermies them. Doesn't have to be red. In all the years I've grown I've never know anyone who harvests or uses hermy pollen. So have you watched this guy's progress or just read it and decided? Yeah sure a herie will produce tons of seed but a large number of its offspring will carry the trait. I'm real curious to see what this other guy is doing.

It was from Reddit. There wasn't anymore info on the subject.

I'd do some research for sure. Like I said I've never heard of it. If the silver makes it unsmokeable it's just a small portion of the plant. Or use a designated plant for just seed. Or clone the auto, fem or reg and work with that smaller sample. I dunno much about making seed but I have read a lot and stressing a girl into a hermies is never in the equation.

Any light during dark time will hermie? Even for autos? I disagree.
When I grew my first plant I thought...hey a few pics won't hurt during the dark period. I'd did that more than once and soon I had seed flying everywhere. Any light will hermies them in darkness. Hence the reason we prep the area for any light leaks coming from any source. Just sharing some experience..lol

Autos don't matter. No problems with them. Some may hermies on their own genetic wise. The potential is there for all cannabis varieties.

Just STS a lower branch and pollinate a few lowers with a small brush, being sure to mark them and not get STS where it’s not supposed to be. Also, you don’t clone autos—it’s pointless.
Personally I wouldn't but I've seen guys do it just for seed or do it as you described....what's your take on hermies pollen? I'm scratching my head on that one...makes no sense to me.
