My first grow let me know please

So day 29 here, added more water and nutes last night, got my digital PH checker today, love it plus im happy wth my eyes, by using the drop test kit was at 5.7 i can deal with that.

The babies look just GREAT even bigger, can see them grow everyday!

So for the fun stuff, got my four new tubs ready for when i am harvesting every 2 weeks. They are alot shorter, thus less water and nutes doing the same job!

I also have a fem seed, just 1 i got from my bro, he forgets the name damnit!!!! his buddy told him grape crush but never heard of that.

I am using the old paper towl and plate trick on an aquarium heater, Will put up pic when she pops,

i am going 1 for 1 here people so wish me luck, going to make her a MOTHER clone doner only plant.

I am putting pics up of what i have done for anyone who would like to do the same. I will be putting a list together like i said i would.

seeing as you know more about HPS's then i do ( i know nothing ) i was thinking of getting one along with my cfl's for my next grow, but power consumption is really a issue so i have to keep it down so i've looked around on ebay for any between 150-250w and found one REALLY cheap.

yep yep that looks really cool, ballist, and light, looks all there to me. Just make a cheapo reflector and you in bus.

Cooling that with a little fan would work just fine i bet to. how many watts is that and how many lumns.

And a question for you mr CFL, are my CFL's the right ones to use?

Do yu know the kelvin rating of those bulbs? Yu gotta try and aim for 2700K for flowering and 6500K for veg. So try and find the kelvin rating and its fine and they're the perfect wattage, wont get too hot, not too weak

The wattage on that bulb is only 100W but its a HPS and im sure i'd have much bigger sparks in growth using maybe... 2 x 100w then i would 2 x 125w cfls.

yep the Kelvin is 6500k blue and 2700 lol i guess i got that just right woohoo, plus im gonna order the 105watters offline.

going to have about 1450 total watts. but 200 watts is in the clone room. I just hope th T5's are enough for 4 mothers.

I think i will be good, if not ill add some more, do something just have to wait and see. 3 or 4 days i HOPE that seed pops and i can start my first mom!!

Day 30 is here, very happy with everything that has happened so far.

I have had my share of probs just like everyone else new, but i listened,

changed what was wrong and look!!!! ANYONE CAN DO IT, very easy

really, this bubbleponic shit is kinda dummy proof lol. They are all looking

very happy today and smelling great! Would like to thank everyone from RIU and

whoever has been here helping me once again, did my research b4 i started, but

shit, without some of the GOOD people on here this wouldnt be so easy, wish you

Plants are looking very good man. Still no sign of sex from what I could see. Day 30 and looking about where they should be. I must say they have done a bit of growing in 13 days (when i first found your other thread). Good stuff Mooch good stuff.

When do you plan on throwing the switch to 12/12?

I was thinking the first. 3-1-10, what do you think? plus i wanna get these going into flowering b/cmy mom is growing now, plus ordering seeds.

These are prob gonna mostly be male i bet. Bag seeds, just wanted to get one under my belt indoors. hateto spend 200$ on seeds that i dont know what to do with

I hear ya man. I went with bagseed this time around in my tent for the same reasons. Getting used to a new environment can be a bitch.

Looking like you got things pretty well dialed in though. Blooming is indeed different than veg...so don't get too comfy just yet.

Do you have an oscillating fan blowing on your plants? If not, get one.

I just went through a powdery mildew attack (my own fault, moved my censor and forgot to put it back), and another fan may have really held it off by keeping the air flowing more around the dense foliage.

Lesson learned, just thought I would share one of my mistakes with you so you don't have to learn the hard way.

That date sounds good to me man. Honestly I always try to allow seeds 2 months of veg, its when they hit maturity. You can do it sooner though. With the spacing you have..I'd even recommend you switch on the 1st.

they never stop, run them both 24/7. I have one right on the plants, and the other blowing the heat away from the light,

so just right above the plants. I am NEVER gonna get to comfy lol. I have alot of new stuff going on for me too at the moment.

The new room just got done with that two days ago, starting my first mom doner in there as we speak. I am going to do

things as best as i can, not skip stuff and half ass it ya know. But you just mak sure you stick around till i am smoking this

stuff. I know i am gonna have some more questions for ya coming up soon lol. Try to let that mildew accident go.

So what do you think about starting flowering next monday?

Yeah, Monday should be fine I think. I mean hell, people start seeds in 12/12. So no reason why you shouldn't switch on Monday.

Like I said, those are starting to look a bit packed together..and they will only do it more so as they flower. It's not like you can respace your pots or anything. Although...they are from seed. So you will be killing at least one or two of them (if you're lucky).

So spacing wont be AS crowded, but still. They will get monstrous in flower judging what they have done in just 13 days of veg.

I was thinking after i get them sexed trying to SoG them but prob just let them grow out

see what kinda yield i get that way frst off. but soon very very soon will be nothing but SoG plants, cant wait for that.

A buddy of mine used to have this Boxer named Sara. Sara was a stoner dog through and through. So much so, all we had to do was roll a joint, pack a bowl whatever... Then pop outside and say three little words:

And Sara would come running around the corner and to the gate. She would try to lift the latch with her paw or nose, sometimes she would get it...other times not. Anyway, as soon as the gate popped open she would run to the Ol' truck and wag her ass staring at the door intently. Open the truck door and she would jump in and slide to the middle seat in between my buddy and I.

No one can tell me that dog didn't know what was going on. I've had people say some rude things when I tell them stories about Sara. Yeah, like we FORCED that dog to run to the gate...to the truck. LMAO, she would lick the bong if you let her get close enough.

Sadly Sara passed away about 4 - 5 months ago. She was like 9 I think. Lived a happy life on about 12 acres in the Sierra Nevada foot hills though.

WOW man the last time I visited your grow they were on the first node, I didnt think it had been this long already. But I am all caught up now so im here for you, man they look magnificent, you couldnt have done anything better for your first grow.

You know what really sucks about RIU though, if you have a small grow with CFLs like me nobody wants to view it because its not perfect, but grows like yours Mooch people are glued too. I have had my journal for going on three months and I only have 13 pages, but you have had a journal less than 1 month and now have 18 pages. Sometimes shit aint fair but thats life right, you could do with your setup that I counldnt do with CFLS and Soil and that is why this thread is really starting to BOOM! Anyway good job man I am really starting to see the potential you have and what kind of BBW buds you can produce with what you have. Just remember a noobs biggest mistake is trying to rush the process, what me and my brother did on my first grow was waited until the 3rd month of veg to flip the lights to 12/12 by this time the plants were around 4 1/2ft tall and by the end of flowering they were about six feet tall with 2oz colas. I miss living with my brother because he could afford to buy all the shit we needed for the grow, and if I lived there now I would be using 2-600w HPS/MH with digital ballast instead of CFLs.

having all this room and a really good friend that help with buying stuff and helping.

About my patients, they are very very good lol, the only reason i am throwing them into flowering at 1 month

is b/c I wanna get a full grow under my belt b4 i run my bought seeds. Make sure

i have fixed anything i mess up this time with bad seeds. I am going to try to run a flawless second grow,

I dont mean 0 probs just 0 probs from errors on my behalf. I will also be runing

4 mother doner clone plants, will be harvesting every two weeks, will have

four tubs. 1 tub is week 1-2, tub 2 week 3-4 and so on.

I am gonna take clones straight from the moms right into flowering. after the get a GOOD root system.

So yes i might be pushing into flowering a little early but to be honest i dont give a hootin darn about the bag seeds.

I bet most will be male anyway lol. I will still do my best and flower them at least 8 weeks, or untill they are ready.

I have four dogs, my mom has 3 and dad has 2. out of the 9 4 CHOOSE to smoke, i dont force anything on to anything, person or dog.

I just think it is awesome they smoke, they actually fucking smoke with me, almost fight over it, granted only two of my dogs smoke, but still funny stuff man,

I WILL always smoke with them till the day they sadly go, just like me, smoke till the death cough cough
