My First Grow Room - Seed to Bud

I have the same temperature problem you were(are?) facing. I recommend buying a small space heater, like this one for example, that only kicks on when when it drops to a certain temp. I was having low's in the mid 50*'s (f) until i got one. my babies started out stunted because of it, now my lowest temp sits right at 25*C. Your girls are still looking great though!
Best of luck!

Before flowering I decided to take a couple clones from each plant. I ran out of time though so I didn't get to clone Kinky - I'll get to it in the morning. Some nice pics of the plants at 45 days.

Notice the oil rad in the foreground of the pic keeping things toasty.

Not sure how to drop to 12/12. My current light is 6am to midnight. Should I extend the darkness tomorrow? I want to go 10am to 10pm. Should I set the lights to come on at 10 for 10 hours of darkness? Curb you went lights out for 24 hours no? do you think it was a good idea?

Things looking good though. Check out the before and after of Buddy- the bud from an outdoor plant that I brought back from the dead to veg.

Smallie is too small to clone. If she's female I'll try a clone even though she's flowering. i know people say not to but other people say different. Everyone has an opinion these days.
just switch your timer at say 11 am ... switch the 6am tab to 10am.... and then the next day switch the 12pm tab to 10pm any time after the lights come on in the morning... i had some very immature plants, but they all sexed within about 1.5 weeks:joint:

Well, I've flipped 'em to twelves.

I've taken two clones per plant and put them under 24/7 fluoros in the 24 degree heated veg room and 8 plants now sit in the bloom room with day temps at 24-30 and night temps falling to 16-20.

The interesting part of this post is the DIY CO2 machine. The corner store now sells "brew-your-own-beer" 2 litre bottles of malted hops with a yeast pill. You put the pill in the bottle (kept out of sunlight, hence the bottleparka) and wait 2 weeks, unwrap and enjoy the beer. The cool thing is that the bottle will vent CO2 for those 2 weeks out of the special venting cap that comes with the beer kit. It's only $4 for 2L which is fairly cheap. It's a win-win situation - the plants love it - and so will I when I down the sucker in a couple weeks.

You should be able to take clones as long as the new growth has five leaves or more... but having 7 or 9 will make it easier

As far as I can tell after 5 days of flowering:

Biggie: Female
Smally: Not showing yet, but looking male until calyx emerges
Rudy: Female
Buddy: Female
Scarlett: Female
Fitz: Female
Chuckles: Female
Kinky: Looking quite male but I still have hope.

Pretty happy about the results although I haven't extensively searched them and ruled out hermies. Not sure how prevalent hermies are. 1 in 10? 1 in 100? 1 in 5? half? anyone have experience on this?

No pics cuz the harem looks pretty much like it did before. I will post a pic once I confirm maleage, murder and reorganize.

Kinky, the bushiest of the bunch took one for the team this morning.

I used his 5 gallon pail for Rudy (who is much obliged).

Kinky has been in the big bucket for a long time and although there was quite a bit of rootage on the bottom of his root ball I'm not sure that it qualifies as "rootbound".

The club shaped balls are pictured below.

More space for everyone else now. Smally, I'm keeping an eye on to see if there is a definate sexual expression over the next few days.

The plants drink about 1 litre a day now.

In other news...the clone room sits quietly with very little interference by me. The humidity domes are now open a crack and I'm hoping they are rooting. The tips of the leaves on almost all the clones have turned yellow. Somebody said that it means over nuting but since I've only used distilled water (a single soak of the rockwool cubes on day 1) it can't be that. Someone else thought it was the plant using nutrients from the leaves to root and that it is a promising sign. I'm going with the latter. The cubes still have weight so I'm not going to water yet. Still no sign of roots but they aren't wilting either. The lights are on 24/7 with temps fluctuating between 21.5C and 25C.

Also, for you graph lovers with the munchies, check out my pie chart below.
