My first grow, some lighting questions

Attached is a picture of a light i put together,The light fixture is about 3.5-4.0 feet wide, and uhmm maybe just over 5 feet in length.

It currently has Eight 27 watt cfls, 5000k ... is this enough?

I have Eight more 27 watt cfls rated at 2700k... can I put 4 of those in the current box (i left space in the middle)... and for flowering just change the ratio? put eight 2700k and four 5000k bulbs?

How many plants will this fixture provide light for, or ... since i want to try a scrogg technique, what do you think i could get out of this? im just looking to be self sufficient, and i know i wont achieve OPTIMAL results... but decent to good, what would that be? I just want to know if i should re-do current setup, add to it, make it smaller, i dont know...

Ill be using soil, proper nutrients, and seeds I got from a friend of uhmm its that weed thats like 1 step up from kine bud. Just trying to add anything that might help people answer my questions

Does my box look weak as shit? or am i just hating on myself... I had a good idea, just didnt come out as well as I wanted.

Thanks,
Youre mycotopia friend (a friend there suggested you guys to me)

So you dont think its worth adding 4 of the 2700k cfls i have in addition the the 8, 5000k cfls already in there? its overkill? or the 2700ks will fuck with it? I just thought more light meant better.. bah im still confused,

seriously? 5000 is wrong? and not useable? ive seen "5000k" like a hundred times, i could have sworn it was right ...

I got 2700k for flowering.... are you saying 2700 is useless... and 5000k is for flowering?

5000 is what i have been using, had a single 27 watt over a clone that grew about 3-4 inches in a week. saying you would have to wait a month to grow 5 inches is just rediculous, u could probably do that with a 2700 spectrum which is ideal for flowering as far as CFL lighting goes. Adding the 2700 spectrum through isnt a bad idea at all, especially if u alrdy have them, might as well. and changing to 4 veg lights during flower wouldnt be a bad idea either. I have never seen a 7800 or let alone anyone talk about it.

how long do you plan on vegging for?

5000k is not recommended but they work fine. And adding in a few 2700k for vegging is also fine. When you switch to flowering you will want more 2700k then the 5000-6500k whatever you are using for veg. Anyhow all looks good good luck.

Ok time to teach I guess. The 2 ft grow light they sell at walmart uses a 7800k bulb. Sure you can grow with a 5000k but it will stretch your plant more and you need to veg your plant with the nodes as close as you can get em. Because when u go to flower with a hps or mh light they stretch a lot. The 2100k's I wouldnt even use because they will really makem stretch, not in a good way. I got a 4ft fixture from walmart and bought a 6500k bulb and the "aqua plant " bulb they sell which is around 7500k and use 1 of each in my 4 ft fixture and my plants grow awesome !! 25 bucks for whole setup. Highley reccommended. Pics of my newest grow........

Dude you can totally add those 2700k bulbs to that fixture if ya want. The more cfls the better dude.

Dude send me a private message or some shit if you start a grow dude I wanna see how your 5000k bulbs hold up to others claims man. Bet it'll be better than expected dude. Just make sure you have that fixture as close as possible without burning your shit or causing a heat problem. If you got good airflow going past you'r bulbs you'll be golden. I can leave my cfl's on all day and just grab 'em and they're warm to the touch at best.

Pce
Stay high brotha
