my first grow tell me how im doing

Hey, im new to indoor growing and wanted to give it a try and grow some weed...... tell me how you think its goin!!!

start date: 6th of april
age:3 weeks 4 days (day25)
veg:3 weeks
flower:days 3
pots:2, 5 gallon bickets and 2, 3 gallon buckets
fertz:15-30-15 miracle grow ultra bloom
plants:4
lights:4 75 watt grow lights
soil:all purpose potting soil with bone meal (indoor and out)
watering: once every 2-5 days depending on water absorbtion

todays is day 25 and
plant#1 ---- extremley tall, 23 inches nice dark green 9 set growing out working on 8th node
plant#2 ---- had a root ripped out last transplant and stunted growth only 13 inches and 5 sets growing working on 6th node
plant#3 ---- really looking good 18.5 inches nice dark green working on 6th node 7 sets growing
plant#4 ---- stem snapped at 3rd node and i pinched the top off and its growing its 4th and possibly 5th nodes out of the top and is 12 inches very skinny

so yeah look at my pics and tell me how you think im doing..... in some of the pics the bottom leaves look yellow but there not really just the light effect on the plants when taking the pics ....... E Z

Looks great! I am a first time grower too...I took some photo's tonight but am having a hard time uploading them.
I have been really into gardening for about 10 yrs but new to this....having lots of fun!
I brought mine inside and am using a little 40W floresent till the aero garden comes...got the pro...then I will add some other lights.

Can you let me know what specifically you used.
I want to eventually be able to have enough to not have to buy and share a bit, that's it.
All I have read about the lights is confusing.

By the way the pictures are at a lousy angle because I put paper around the plants that are on a 6 ft shelf...then I tried to take the pictures. This little set up is in the laundry room now..to be moved to a nice dark closet
with good ventilation.
Until at least the aerogarden 'plus' comes I am just using the outdoor light during the day and bringing them in till it gets a bit warmer. Last night we had a frost and I moved most of them in.

Do you plan on getting other 'appliances'. I have read about pumps etc.
I am trying to keep it simple but not forgo quality and quantity.

What did you use for seeds?

Mine are just some I had from a no name baggie...I ordered some from a place that has not been spoken of to highly, before I came here. I will post if I ever get them.

Nice work, Im not sure but they might be stretching a bit, but it might just be the strain. I planted my first seeds on the same day as you and yours are looking a lot taller than mine. Nice job though and good luck with your grow.

ap25 has some seriously hot plants lol
yours are looking good too but maybe have the light closer to the plant
and 1 or 2 more CFL's surrounding it to promote wider, not taller growth!
but yea... they look awesome

yeah i know i was surprised that they grew so fast anyone have any ideas aht type of seeds they are and how long i will have to wait to tell sex.... any other input and tricks that work for flowering please let me know or if u have any input on my pics and such above ty and where is a cheap place to order seeds from??

im gonna add more pics as i go ill take more tommorow when i turn the lights back on

i have a 75 watt florescent on my little seedling
do you know how long till ill have to get a higher wattage grow light?

Look at his first photo. He is useing a 75 watt incondesent bulb. They put out a Shit load of heat for very little light, and you can not get them very close to the plants. Throw that light in the garbage and go buy a half dozen 43 watt CFLS. You plants are stretching and are starveing for more light.

I used that same exact light on my first go at growing weed. By the time I was into flowering I had a 400 watt MH/HPS light. The light you have has a blue haze to it doesn't it? And if you were to touch the bulb, you would blister your skin. GET BETTER LIGHTS!!

Whats up bates, about the ordering seeds. I ordered mine from nirvana and it went well and I got my seeds in about 2 or 3 weeks, although Ive read a lot of complaints about people not getting their seeds from them. Ive read pretty good things about Dr. Chronic so maybe try one of those sites. Also maybe add more lights like tommo and lord dangly said. Keep us posted on how your grow goes.

using an incandesant light on your plants is as low as feeding them rat poison.

i dident know they were incandecent but i was wondering .... if i pick up 4 200 watt cfls will they be good for flowering and how much will the cost be ab out?... and i have been using those 75 wattt lights for the last almost 4 weeks and the plants have been growing beautiful so idk.... but will the cfls been an inexpensive way of flowering or is there something better.......... and does anyone have any idea what type of plants these are ???? i just dont understand teh plants have been doing

Looks like your plants are stretching. Get rid of that incand asap, waste alot of energy for no reason really. 4 200W CFL? Why not just get a HPS light? Move the lights closer once you get a CFLs, stop the stretching.

what will happen if i dont switch to a new light and i keep these ones im in flowering and i have 4 75 watt(same as 150 watt) incadecent grow and show lights

they just wont produce as much. More light = more yield. if you want GREAT buds, than get good lights.

well how much do you think these plants will grow an oz each mabye? that would be ok with ,me considering its my first grow i havent paid barley anything for the equipment and i want to get a bit better before i order seeds and start a bigger op but other thank the lights how do you think im doing?

You will get about 1 OZ of fluffy crap buds for all 4 plants. Maybe a little more. That bulb is truely about the shittiest bulb out on the market. At least get 6-8 43 watt CFLs. But the one guy was correct. You are much better off buying a HPS light. As I said, I had those bulbs you are useing my first grow. I finally follow someones advice and bought CFLs. Once I changed over to Flowering i bought a 400 watt HPS. I was very thankful for that guys advice. I got a nice good yield of some fantastic buds. If i had not followed his advice, I would have had a much smaller yield of Shit Buds.
