looks good man, but you said earlier you were letting your water stand for a week before you used it to water ur lil ones. this is BAD, never let your water stand for more than half an hour as otherwise the water looses much of the oxygen in it, i dont know where this myth about letting water stand before using it but I am sure it is just an old wives tale
Happy growing =)

What about chlorine? Doesn't chlorine evaporate in about 24 hours from the water? I only say this cause from doing aquariums they tell you to let the water stand for 24 hours before putting it in the aquarium. I do know that when bleach breaks down it turns into mostly salt water.

there isnt enough chloring in standard tap water to damage your plants. letting all of the oxygen escape from the water will do more damage. good foliar feeding is when the spray is really fine as this will oxygenate the water.

Quote: babygro "As we all know - healthy and vigorous roots = healthy plant = optimum harvests. This is one of the principle reasons faster growth can be achieved in hydro systems particularly those that uses bubblers or airstones - the roots are getting a constant supply of oxygenated water and this helps the root mass grow as well as the unrestricted space for them. Exactly the same principle works in soil with regards added oxygen in the root zone."

Plan got a bit messed up this week, as I was forced to leave them unattended over the weekend and was unsure how long this would be for (it could have ended up a week but as it happened was just sat/sun)... so decided to turn out the lights and move them to a window (with blinds), rather than risk any fire hazard, plus my timer has been playing up (will replace soon)... so anyway, during this period, they soared in height, which was a bit annoying and I imagine it's confused them also as they were one week into the flowering cycle, but they're back in the grow room now... check out the pics...

Well since last time... I have been continuing to abuse my plants... they have had another weekend by the window and then last weekend had visitors and had to stash the plants so they spent 56 hours in the dark... other than that, they are sticking to the 12 hour cycle with the red and blue envirolites... so they are now 29 days/4 weeks into flowering... and probably not as far along as they should be... when they came out of the dark there was a lot of yellowing in the new growth, but this soon greened up in the light... photos attached... I watered with a little organic tomato food yesterday as I haven't had time to get bat guano/worm casts I had planned to use...

glad you like the shot, actually this is the only one of the five that is showing trichomes but it was the strongest of the litter, hopefully the others will soon follow suit and get more coated... mmmm

Topping at this stage? they are now over 4 weeks into flowering... I hadn't planned to do any topping of these 5... On my next grow I am planning to have one multi headed plant, so topping early.
Let me know though if I should be doing any trimming/topping now... I was about to start flushing in a few days time (have been using a lot of tomato food over the last week)... so looking at a harvest in about 2 and a half weeks if the pistils look right (50% brown)...

Right... first update for a while, I have been away, which meant I had to leave the plants unattended for 2 and a half weeks this time... considered a lot of watering options but in the end went for the wick method. This involved cutting an old pair of pants in to strips, stuffing them through the pot holes (3 strips per pot) into the roots about 4 inches and then placing the pots in crates full of water on upturned yoghurt pots with the wicks dangling in. It worked surprisingly well, when I got back the soil was very damp and the crates half full, so they used plenty of water. They also went back to the window position for the duration... I had been a bit anxious as to whether they would survive but there are no signs of stress at all... however what really surprised me is that they are still so far off harvesting, there are virtually no pistils that have turned brown, so I guess it will be another two weeks at least, which seems like quite a long turn around to me. They are now back in the grow room on the 12/12 and I'll allow them to dry out a bit before I water again...

..so, I couldn't wait to try some... tried the toaster method in the FAQ... worked very well...bit worried I might not be able to wait and harvest/cure properly... but there should be enough... ;)

so the oldest (close ups in next post) looks like it's nearly ready, this is the one I've tried (quick dry) and it was a good clean head high, it's slowly getting browner... am planning on harvesting when the pistils are exactly 50/50 which hopefully will be a couple of days time... I think the least developed will take about 2 weeks to catch up, so will be a staggered harvest. Will be air drying for 2 weeks followed by glass jars... may try a few buds using water cure to get my hands on some a bit earlier and just out of curiosity...

love what you got going, curious to what your overall yield weight is gonna be.

you should weigh fresh cut, and then again after it's been dried and cured, cause i'm wondering what the difference will be.

harvest coming up, good luck, i'm excited

Hey, thanks, I'll try and record some weights... it'll be per plant as the harvest is going to be staggered... despite germinating within a day of each other I think that each will be ready a week apart...
