subscribed. I really hope you keep this journal going.. very very interested to see how this goes!!!! Thanks for the thread, you're kind of a frontier in LED country lol
Boricua 100%Que paso, boricua! Very nice setup. Cant wait to see the final product! Good luck, on your grow. Your off to a great start!
I also started growing with LEDs. I'm using a 126W penetrator LED grow light from hydrogrowled.com, So far I'm very happy with it.
I've been using it for about two weeks now. I had a 400 watt HPS light but I removed it because it was raising my temps to 110 F. So far I'm very happy with the LED's my temps now range from 74-82.Boricua 100%
so how long you been useing your 126w LED? have you done a harvest using it yet?
I bought this system due to the reviews on this post. DON'T buy stealth hydro bubbleponic system. It's poorly designed and very expensive. It was a harsh lesson. I beleived the posts here I read on this forum and forked over the dough. Man it's been non-stop work modifying the system to make it decent. and ......... still.....the net pots are way too small. Man I regret it. But I learned quite a bit on how NOT to design a system. hehehe.
Did you buy the same system as im using? i'm very happy and it works as they say it does. i do agree that the netpod could be bigger as i started with 14 and now have 5 plants left, 2 of them did not make it and the rest were males.I bought this system due to the reviews on this post. Drop the moon dust. I live near the sunlight sheds store, and the guys who work there (not the head hancho's) all pointed me in the direct of fox farm nutrients. I have to say I am really impressed! moon dust is killer for tomatoes and veggies and shit (I mean your plants will get like 10 feet tall!!!) but for cannabis- not so much. that's my two cents. hope it helpsHey Guys... I just came upon this thread and I have the exact same system. I am in my second week of grow and having all kinds of trouble. The plants are curling in and growth has almost stopped. I noticed you only used half the recommended nutes. Do you think this may be my problem? I have been following the grow guide to the letter and my plants look crappy. I spent almost 2300 on the big system with the cloning chamber in the top and I feel like a sucker. I am comforted by your results though. You seem to be having more luck than me. I'll flush my system on Tuesday and take some pics. Maybe you all could help me out?
Patty i have had some luck with the moon dust, but im changing to fox farm everything i here about it is good so im going to try the switch.Drop the moon dust. Good Call OROD! I think you will be really happy! are you gonna finish out this grow with the moon dust? My best friend swears by moon dust, but he always has really fluffy buds that don't fill out too much. I'm in week 5 of flowering with Fox Farm Tiger Bloom, and my buds already look filled out enough to harvest! I can't wait to see how big they look after 8 or 9 weeks, not to mention that thc production is threw the roof on these babies!Patty i have had some luck with the moon dust, but im changing to fox farm everything i here about it is good so im going to try the switch.
im not into hydro- just preference: but here is what i can tell you. A.) back those led's away my friend. thats way too much power, too close! i keep my ufo's a foot away for the first two days or so, let the plants get some strength. then you can move them down to about 8 inches away, maybe 6 if you wanna get ballsy. B.) I am pretty sure that even in hydroponics, a plant's first week of life should be nutrient free. C.) GO with 24/0 light regiment for the first 2 weeks with those LED's, trust me it never fails me! i get a killer female to male ratio every time, it's rather interesting. Switch to 18, 6 after the first couple weeks and you will have plenty of inter nodal spacing. I am not a hydro expert, i <3 dirt, but i think that these tweaks could help you.Hey all. I've been following this thread because I have the exact same unit. I haven't had as good of results though. Anyway I'm hoping all my fellow RIU compadres will stay with this thread to give me advice. I started with 14 pots.12 of good bagseed and 1 northern lights and 1 white widow. I filled the hydrochamber with distilled water. I added 2tsb of superthrive and 2tsb of moondust. My ph is at 5.5 and ppm is 300. My led lights are about 6 inches from the top of the netpot tops. I will have pics tomorrow but that's how I stand now. If you can give me any advice please please do so. This is a new try at this. The last grow started out promising but the leaves curled in and stopped growing. Today is day 1 of the second attempt.

Don't get me wrong what they sold me has been working great but knowing what i know now and only after seeing it i know i could make for under 1kOrod, so you actually wouldn't buy another cab? because even though I haven't ordered mine yet and will before the months out I was planning on getting another shortly there after if all is well.....I'm not that big into building anything but do you think it would be that easy or just worth the trouble to build your own for the money....because I'm assuming you would have to make certain cuts in the cabinet to fit in certain parts and etc......but if building would be better for my actual growing then I might consider it.....
After reading this post again i realized that i did what you did but i never did the superthrive so im thinking the superthrive and the moon dust together mite not work. other then that i did it the same way you did it and even started them from seen right in the unit.....i hope this helps.Hey all.
