My First Grow

i would recomend keeping it basic your first grow then start experimenting. get a feel for it then dive in. experience is way more valuable then any advice
 
I would definately trim the lower 1/3 of the plant off to give the plant better growth. If you choose to FIM then let us know if you kneed more help with how to do it.
 
Ok. Yea i will trim the lower branches, but how should i go about doing this? Should i pluck each leaf off the branches or just snip the branch off entirely?

and im about to go to bed right now bud i will FIM it
 
use like a utility knife or scalple. check out lollipoping method. and bro after this first you will want to keep goin. trust its amazing to enjoy the fruits of your labor and u wont wanna stop

Just trim the whole branch off with some sharp scissors but only the lower 1/3 of the plant.
 
I have trimmed the lower branches and I am ready to fim it, i need to do it today though.

I plucked a few more leaves and tied branches down to let the other bud sites grow bigger and i will flower in about 2 weeks. Im not so sure about topping or Fiming anymore
 
Its my first time and Im not doing either. Gotta feel it out but at the same time go ahead and do plenty of research...it ended up paying off for me.
 
Dude i was having trouble reading your post, it might be just cuz im high but yea i got this little small plant thats been growing for like a week, ill experiment with that one
 
Ok This is the last week of vegetation for me. This weekend i want to go ahead and buy my flowering cfls and put this plant on the 12/12 cycle.

This weekend i will go and buy a couple (2, 2 packs) of 2700K soft white cfl's along with my42 watt cfl.


Can anyone reccommend a good food for the flowering phase?

there are so many nutes out there and i couldnt tell you whats available in your location. if you live in the states i hear anything foxfarm is good.

I live in canada and I have used the Supernatural products before. they work well.

just go to your local hydroponics store and as them what would be good. i tell the guys at mine what im doing and they usually help you out alot. you dont have to tell them who you are or where you live. just what you are doing. then they can help you properly.

Haha so you just go up to them and are like im growing weed, you got any good stuff for it lol

But i have been to home depot before and they dont have much. I would just be embaressed to go to a gardening store cuz im a dude

and yeah i just basically say " hey m growing something and need some serious help but its not exactly legal"

and then they just ask what im doing. they dont care, they just want a happy customer whos going to come back and buy more expensive shit from them!

OK i found a store thats about 15 miles from where i live i will go there, the website said they sold foxfarm. Now when i go there what should i look for in a fox farm product.
 
And my plant is now in flowering phase. I have 3, 23W 1700 lumen, 2700K CFL's and 1 42W CFL. How long until i know the sex of this plant

OK dude this is scary, this plant is growing fast as shit!!!! I dont want it getting too big! But i have it on 12/12 and have 4 of those 2700K bulbs and one is a 42W on the canopy and the canopy is going crazy.


How much longer until i know if its a male or female?
