alright keys my plant is an auto so the more light the better but shes on 16/8 for the pure fact I work 7 hrs a day plus travel I switch her off when I leave and back on when I come home I might buy a timer depending on what I grow next.

When I put sand around her I'd dig through to the soil too water her. I was going to use a funnel but just ended up moving the sand each time. I only had the sand on her for a week or two just to stop the flys, I had to give my plant to my mate for a few days when it came back there were loads of little black flies he left near an open window. So I covered the soil with sand to stop them laying eggs in the soil and it seemed to work there only 2 or 3 flying round her now :bigjoint:

Alright KUDA Thanks man lol thats exactly what I thought :) I was curious about how it would turn out too and I also think she looks great :bigjoint: it was a bit of a ride getting to here but shes past the hard part and almost there

I had a problem with black flies too. I was overwatering my house plants and the infestation spread to my ladies. I used sticky traps to catch them. They were meant for windows. Just a piece of plastic about 7x3 that was super sticky. Took care of the problem within a week or two and caught about 200 by then. The sand thing is a good idea though to stop them from laying eggs.

I would definitely recommend getting a timer for any further grows. You can get one for around $10 for the most basic digital model, and you definitely want the digital.

She is suffering from a nitrogen deficiency from the looks of those leaves, but don't feed her since she is so close to harvest. Those leaves will be all yellow by that time. Just look at my harvested grow in my sig and you'll see what I am talking about.

I would say do a flush soon, and then right before you leave chop her and hang her whole. You can give her a heavy watering the night before you cut her so she is water heavy. These two things will slow down the drying and she should be good about the time you come back. I don't think she could go for another 3, but I could be wrong. If you decide to wait until you come back feed her now and flush 2 week before you would harvest and maybe even again 1 week before to make sure you get all the leftovers out of the soil.

Also, since you turn on the lights when you come back from work the day before you leave don't turn them on. Give her an extended dark period to maximize resin production. You also don't want to chop her if the lights have been on for a while. When the lights are on she will move salts and nutrients from the roots to the buds. At night they move back down to the roots. So you want to cut her as soon as she sees light. This will make the smoke smoother and so will the flush.

One other thing. Don't pull the leaves that are damaged just let them fall off on their own. If they come off from the lightest pressure that is fine. Just don't pull on them with pressure.

thanks fella I thought about using those sticky trap things but then i already had sand so just used that instead lol. yer i probs will get hold of a timer ive had a look on amazon.com and there not to expensive from them. Im thinkin of choping her the night before i leave as i also dont think she'll make it three weeks. I'm going to flush her this weekend as im going away in 2 weeks and once again next weekend.

so your saying give her 24hrs darkness before i chop?

regarding the light and choping if im leaving the light off 24hrs before i chop do i then turn the light on to chop her or should i just leave them off and chop her?

You can chop her with the lights on. Just don't have her in the light for a while before you do. I usually open the dark box, grab her, and cut her all in just a few seconds, but a few minutes would probably be no problem. Just no extended periods of time.

I would just go to wal-mart for the timer. It's with all the light sockets and electric plugs. Only about $10 bucks, unless you can get it even cheaper on Amazon even with shipping.

Are you having someone care for her or are you just going to water her really well before you go?

im in the uk so i dont have a wal-mart but theres places like it so i'll have a look there i think. I was going to give her a good water before i go but i dont think shes got 2 weeks left in her so im guna chop here next friday just before i leave and hang her whole til i get back i wont get to much off her but what i do get will be good enough off my first grow my next grow i'll def have bigger yields on the next one :bigjoint:

I don't think it's about yield on the first grow, it's about getting things worked out and making it to harvest. You, sir, have excelled here. Those buds look great man, looking forward to the next grow.

day 78:

day,78.jpgday.78.jpgday'78.jpgday78.jpg

I took these just before i flushed her.

I'm worried that when my baby is hanging for the week i'm away she'll might get moldy. im thinking as she'll be hanging in my attic where i've been growing her if it gets cold in there while shes still wet it could cause problems as im not there to keep an eye on her what do you think the chances are that she'll be ok? The humid is low in my attic normally between 30%- 50% rh not sure on the temps tho I'll have to check. but do you think she'll be alright? :bigjoint:

If it gets cold she could get moldy. What's it feel like when you go up there? Are you chilly? I hung my last grow whole in my closet with a fan blowing air out so there was some circulation. As long as the temps are comfortable I think she'll be fine, but if it gets down around 60F (18C? I'm not too good at the conversions) I'd be concerned.

in the day its fine but its the night im worried about it doesnt feel cold but there a noticable drop in temp the temp hasnt dropped below 20C i dont think i cant put her anywere else as while im away my parents will be looking after my animals so i cant just leave her in my cupboard for the next week im going to assess the temp etc and see what to do later in the week (you were very close with your temp conversion 60F is 16C good guess tho lol) :bigjoint:

I'm also gonna have trouble with drying. My drying area is just a closet, temp around 76F and humidity around 34%. I know, not great right. Not only that, but I only have 1 fan so I'm going to have to chop all of it at once. And my 60 day wonder will be without a fan for a week. Hope this turns out ok. But anyway, can't wait to see your harvest man.
