My first grow!

Hey mate, I grow in an unventilated closet atm with a 600w HPS. I was wondering why my first 2 weeks growth seemed "floppy?" It seemed that any time my plants grew leaves to a large enough size, they would droop on the outside edge. Figured out in the 3rd week that it was heat stress. The plant just wasn't able to draw in enough water at that stage of its root development! (I grow in dwc) I backed my HPS off about another 6" and its sitting approx 30" from plant tops atm. The heat on the plants dropped by 3 Celsius from 28 to 25 and they are flourishing!

I say all this because I noticed how small your grow space is! And those cfl's do put out more heat than you'd think! If you haven't already, I would def recommend a cheap thermometer off eBay or something. Because with autos, anything less than perfect conditions from day dot affects your final yield!

I'm subbed and watching! All the best man!

Hey I appreciate it bud! It would be funny if that was the problem behind this the whole time because I've been having problems with some of the leaves, like nute burn and pH problems, here's some of this.

Maybe just try opening your area up a bit and see if it helps out at all, but yea. Looks like nute burn too haha

Oh yeah we open the box at least twice a day so it airs out a bit and we cut a whole in the back of the box so it can get more air from that as well or do. You mean like lifting the lights higher above it?

My partner also took out the 2 cfl bulbs, we still have the 80 watt one and the smaller one were gonna see if this can cure some of the brown yellow stuff popping up, were also going to flush properly in about 2 days then we were thinking about plugging back in the 2 CFLs for certain amounts of times, basically having more of a natural sun nature

I mean going as far as even leaving it open for 2-3 days. If new growth doesn't show droopage, then you know it was heat. Or CO2 levels even. Without CO2, the plant can only use a certain amount of light and could be burning up for that reason. In a normal sized room that Is normally several thousand watts of HID's, but because yours is so small, it may burn through it faster.
