What medium are you using?

Many soils have enough nutes in them to carry a plant for quite a while before they need to be fed anything other than water. Fox farms ocean forrest is a good example, when i grew in FFOF my plants were 40 days old from seed before they were given nutes, the soil was hot enough out of the bag to carry them that long.

Fox Farm soils run pretty hot. I use it as well. I usually get to about 3 weeks before I see signs of needing it. Right now they looks very healthy.

What would first signs of needing nutes look like?
You will be able to tell when you need to add Nute's when your new growth starts to fade and lose color. In about roughly a months time. Some phenos eat more and faster than others just like people. It also depends on how much and how often you are watering. But give or take about a month-ish. I personally add very small amounts of nutes at at least week 3 but in trace amounts and slowly work up to heavier doses Since I no I'm approaching the end of what my medium can provide food.
