my first love!,I dont wanna let go....

heres the deal,im finishing my very first grow.yay!anyways,how do i go about putting the plant back int veg after i harvest.The lighting i know,but as far as cutting,should i do anything special,or just leave a bony stem and willit take off from there?its already about 4ft tall.
