As far as I know the plants stretch the most during the first 4 weeks of growth (8 week strain) and then slow down between weeks 5 and six and stop growing taller late into flower as all of the energy is used to make buds.

I have the black "mess with the best, die like the rest" skull and cross rifles flag up in my garage, I'll get a good picture up of it motivator. <-- lol
Yea, do the 18/6 on them for another week with them under the new lighting system to get them used to the more intense light. Start far and move in closer throughout the week until you flower.
My elec bill was nonsense with the 1000w on 24/7 when I vegged my first set, so 18/6 would be nicer on the pocket book.

well luckily I don't have to worry about elec atm..the person I"m getting the room said it would be cool BUT I gotta give up an oz next grow...shouldn't be an issue though..well worth it for free water/elec. The bad side is the room used to be thier daughters room so it's piiiiiiink..lol

Oh yea man last round was hot. The G13 got chopped early because she sprouted nanners, but the dispensary copped to discovering the hermie after they'd sold clones. I got a refund and a free 1/8. The Blue Dreams were fantastic and I couldn't have been more proud of em. Frosty as all bloody hell and potent as fuck. I took them to almost 12 weeks flowering. The Black and God Bud both came out around week 10ish flowering. GB was a beautiful example of a strong indica[dominant] with tight, super resinous buds and a very bushy profile and medium-heavy yield. The black, eh, only so-so. Wasn't the phenotype I woulda wanted and the smoke was just above average quality. I posted some porn from last round in my new thread you may not have seen yet. The pics from last round are on the second to last or last page. I'm in week 3 of flower for this round..Skywalker, MOG, (909)Master Kush and GDP. Purple Kush is my newest mother, got rid of 2 of 3 that I had before. I've now just got pineapple wreck and pk as my two main mothers for next round(and then some).

Ok so the move from here to their in the frigid RI winter seems to have gone OK so far. I'm still within the first 24 hours but I"ve basically run the new lamp (430 HPS..and yes it really is 430 not 400...didn't know thier was such a volatage to be honest) for about from 2000 - 0100am EST Today they started up again at 0700 and will be on till 0100. I"m not sure how high to hang the light though...but I figure that's not mission critical right now only b/c they're getting acclimated. Very stressful move (I def think more for me then the girls) and they haven't been given any water since sunday b/c every time I wanted to move the poor things it would snow..now I don't want to ruin all my hard work with snow and hermie the poor things. last night but I blasted the heat so much that within the 15 drive I was drenched in sweat from the heater and the car was fogging up from the inside. Only bent/broke two leaves..smaller fan leaves so it's not good or bad. Sunday will be the first day Bloom Nutes (again going roots organics) clone day (got a roots riots tray heating pad and mondi clone dome with clonex)..Torn I have got to watch those videos Tomorrow..will be much easier now that the girls are in their new home. I will take pics tonigght and try to show you how I made the makes shift grow room...keyword makeshift...within the day I should find out wheather I start work on monday.

Good news on the move and the job man, how did the doctors appt. go when you told them you're licensed to smoke MJ for illness? Pretty interested because I've been weary about going to temp agencies thinking my MMJ card will be worthless to them.
About the light, if you were using a lot less intensity before the switch to the new light keep it as far away as possible and day by day move down to within 12-16 of the canopy. Your plants will tell you if they're taking to it well. Also not sure if putting the light that close to the plant will give you the footprint you need to cover all 3 of them. Is the hood vented?
Makeshift rooms are fine as long as you don't have any light leaks, I'm sure you covered that already though. I'm stoked for you man!

thanks bro..to be honest their was nothing to tell the docs..the company said it came back clean so I just said "yea didn't think their would be an issue" on the inside I was ready to vomit lol. But yea I was looking for the total amount of light after a few days so it's 12-16 inches...which is perfect...I have the generic aluminum wing reflector ATM..lights up the whole freakin room..and hallway...I"ll let you know for sure RE: the job today.

Rofl, it came back clean.. they probably do like the military does and only sample a few per box of samples.
Nothing wrong with those wing reflectors they give you a great spread. With the climate so cold as it is out there the warmth from the bulb will keep you temps in a good range. Right now I'm running my light without the glass and no ventilation through it (just an oscillating fan blowing between the light and the plants) and my temps have been right under 80 with the lights on.
