the reason they are so short and bushy is because i vegged them indoors keeping the lights no more than 2" above them,i think they are going to strech now i have had to move them outdoors,i wanted to stay indoors but temps are to hot,i had some mexican sativas growing in doors wich i had to lst and a bit of super cropping to keep the height down, will put some pics on in a min.

250620101152.jpg I made an experiment with 1 of my girls, when i put her in the vase i didn't plant it in a straight position i bent it a little, maybe 70º give or take instead of 90. Here's the result it's the one on the right. Try it out next time

Hey its me again - the problem child :)
I seem to only come here when i have a problem :)

Anyway my babies are about

10-12 days into their 12/12 cycle and i have some pics of what i think are buds forming and now i am concerned about getting rid of the males as soon as possible

Can anyone tell me what i am looking at here if you can even tell at this point

Thanks as always guys and gals

Can't really tell at this point. Just looks like another set of leaves growing.

Seems a little early to switch to 12/12. They would have kept vegging for quite awhile and grew a lot. You could have topped them if you wanted to keep them shorter. They would have bushed out more and produced more colas.

There is also another option called "Low-Stress Training (LST)" you can do a search on these forums to find out more info, but basically you just slowly bend the plant by tying it down with a rope or string. Not only will this allow you to control the height, but it also allows the sun to hit the sides and other parts of the plant that wouldn't normally receive large amounts of direct sunlight, which will result in the production of new bud sites all over the plant.

Other than that, they are looking very healthy. You should invest in some flowering/bloom nutrients with a high Phosphate and Potash ratio since you are starting flowering. Let us kno if you are near any hydro stores or just hardware stores like lowes or homedepot, so we can recommend nutrients.

Good luck!:bigjoint:

Thanks i know it may seem like a bit early to start flowering but the size was something i hadent thought through fully and given this is my first grow i dont want huge amounts of yeild just a bit to get me by and the experience i am gaining for my next grow
I am in the uk and not by any good store for this kind of thing but i am giving them some tomorite at the moment as this was recommended to me by a friend as its something quite handy and something he has used before numerous times
