My First Plant ;]

So I have done my fair share of research and reading and the such about growing bud, the stages, etc. etc., and since I don't wanna f**k up some really dank seeds, I (like many others) have started my first grow with some bag seeds. I hadn't been collecting seeds for a long time, and since I rarely see them, I only had enough time to scoop up two seeds.

Granted, the chances of me getting a female would be higher if I were to have like 10 seeds, since I'm just seeing how well I do this time around, I'm not too worried >;]

Having said that, here are a couple pics I took. I already germinated the seed using the paper towel clammed between two plates. The first seed germinated within 36 hours and was ready to plant after 48 hours (thanks Widow Maker for your grow guide. Excellent stuff).

So I went ahead and planted the first seed in some Rapid Rooters that I got last week. It's lookin' good so far as far as I can tell. I took the pics with my phone, so I apologize if they don't look up to par.

Sorry bout that, let me try it again. Here they are. Oh, and by the way, this is day 5 overall (3 days of germinating, two days in the rooters). These pictures were taken a few hours ago, but the plant looks a lot stronger already.

what light?
and what nutes will you be using?
and do you have a room to transplant to?
One lamp has 2 15 watt daylight floros and the other lamp has a CFL that's 26 watts. It's working fine for right now but I'm going to need a much better lighting system shortly.

As far as the nutes, I haven't decided for sure which one(s) I'm going to buy, but there are many that have caught my eye from different guides I've read. I'm going to probably stop by my local gardening shop to see what I have available to me around here.

Unfortunately, I only have one room for growing so I will have to transplant it into another medium in the same room. I just got my digital camera back so here is a better picture of it at this hour. My camera seems to want to focus on the tray instead of the plant, but once it grows a little more I don't think it'll be a problem.

Also, I don't have enough money to buy a good light, but I do still have a few more CFLs that I'm not using just yet. Will I be ok doing the whole grow with CFLs? If money is a factor (and a shortage, at that), what would you guys suggest I do? Will my grow be ok as long as I have enough CFLs that put out cool and warm color? Also, does anyone have suggestions as for what nutes I should use? Thanks in advance!

I have 3 right now a little bigger than yours. It'll be cool to see how ours compare to each other. Right now yours looks good!

Cool I'm glad about the stem... and ya man, im definitely interested in how our (hopefully) ladies compare in the long run. I wish I knew what strain I was growing so I could research more thoroughly about what I'm growing, but these are my test plants.

I got 10 Northern Light seeds that came in 9 days from nirvana-shop.com. +1 for them by the way, excellent service and the price wasn't too shabby.

I'll keep you guys up to date with some more pics tmw or later tonight.

Happy growing!

Wow... I just looked at some guides for using LST with your plants, and considering my lack of space, I think that is the route I'm going to go with this/these plants. The process seems simple enough, and I'm pretty sure I can handle her with care so as not to break her precious stem :)

Well the plant in the pics is doin really well, and the second plant that wasn't as enthusiastic about germinating is looking really great now only trailing the first plant by a few days.

I'm goina transplant the first one within the next few days or week and then hopefully within a week or so of that, I can begin the training >;] I'll get some pics up of both plants later today.

New lights:

2 20 watt daylight CFLs, 2 26 watt bright white cfls and another daylight CFL that's somethin like 18 or 19 watts.

**EDIT** To follow these plants, check out the post of My First Grow ;] in the Growing section
