My first time, how am i doing?

Hey everyone!

As mentioned in the title this is my first grow ever, im am currently 7 weeks into flowering and my fingers are really starting to itch. But i know that patience is a virtue and will not go to town on these babies until they're fully grown.

My specs

Strain: Liberty Haze Fem (Barney's Farm)

600W HPS
pH on watering water: 7.0
pH on runoff water: 6.7
Temp at ceiling: 29 C
Temp at soillevel: 24 C
Got 185m3/h of air going into the growroom at floorlevel and 187m3/h going out at ceilinglevel. Atleast that's what the fan specifications are, don't really know the actual airflow.

I am using Gold Label nutrients

Soil A
Soil B
Ultra PK
Ultra MG

So i have a few questions.

I know my leaves aren't looking that great and I know it is because of nutrientproblems, the thing is i can't figure out if it's deficiency or nuteburn. Any help regarding this would be much appreciated if anyone can diagnose the cause. I have been holding back a bit on the nutes because in the early stage of veg i burned one of the plants really bad but it has recovered.

How much time would you estimate these babies have left? The specification on the website said 60-70 days but i've been reading alot on forums about this strain that the "real" flowering time is around 75-85 days.

As mentioned, any tips would be much appreciated.

As your plants reach their peak maturity they often begin to cannibalize themselves for the nutrients to keep going in hopes that at least SOME of the flowers will be pollinated. That pretty much looks like what yours are beginning to do. Looks like you've done a much better job than you might think.

Wow man everything is looking really great, are you sure that's your first grow? ;)

There are many ways to know when your plant is done, first things first you'll need a jewelers loupe, 30x-60x should be fine. You need to be able to see the crystals on it, make sure the trichomes are milky white and not clear, a little bit of amber is ok but you don't want a TON of amber. After you cut the plant down the trichomes and the buds develop a little bit more while they dry so for an indica I'd go with 10-20% amber but that's just me personally.

You'll also want to observe the pistols, they look pretty white but the fact that it's a haze explains a lot. With haze you're usually gonna end up waiting around 10 weeks instead of the usually 7-8, but I promise that your patience will indeed be rewarded! Your plants look really really good right now man, just give them 9-10 weeks and check the trics and the pistols and you'll be able to tell.

I'm not sure how much you know about drying and curing but I would highly recommend doing a ton of research on that until your plants are done. I've dried and cured wrong before and it's a total bummer waiting that long only to screw up at the end. Best of luck to you man, and again, looking great!

It is indeed my first time :)

I have a 30x microscope and right now some of the trichs are cloudy but most of them clear. Also noticed that some (1% Rough Estimate) had turned amber but i guess this is to be expected.

I've read up on drying and curing aswell, gonna hang them in a wardrobe for 5-7 days, the put them in glassjars for 12 hours, take them out for 12 hours, and keep that up until they feel dry and then stick em in the jar and try to not open the sucker up for 14 days.

Again, thanks for the compliments, feel reassuring to get that instead of trollrage x)

Doing great man, keep it goin...+rep

I took some more pictures, was thinking it might give you some more insight into what if any problem i have.

Judging by how the leaf in the close up looks, and the tips beeing fucked up. something isn't right.

Also giving you a picture of the whole setup just to see if anyone can gauge how much this will yield once it's done ;) Those are 11 litre pots, just for reference.

good job on the lollipopping..looks like a lockout. do you feed a lot?
Lollipopping? :o

I feed nutes once a week, and water with regular water in between. I fucked up with the soil and didnt add any perlite or anything of that nature so it is very hard and compact wich makes the water run down the sides on the inside and out and it becomes dry very fast. I do however refrain from watering in between sometimes because i read that it's good to let the soil dry up completley before watering again.

You have PH causing a lockout it looks like. Heat, hunger, and they need a drink when the pot gets lighter....completely dry is not a healthy state.

Hmm, was hoping it wouldn't be PH seeing as it's only slightly higher than 6.5.

Going to order new calibrationfluids and some pH regulators this week.

Ok, so I flushed the little miracles today and added a little bit of nutes with water that was 6.5 PH and the runoff water came out 5.7. This is kind of worrying me, is this to be expected or am i fucked?

They grow like monsters, increasing in size everyday but still no sign of amber trichs or brown/orange pistills. God, seems like it will take forever :P

They look awesome man, I wouldn't be too worried give it another week, as earlier stated towards the end of the cannabis plant's life the leaves will start dying due to the plant using all of its nutrients to support flower growth. Awesome first time grow and I hope my first grow turns out great as well!
