well this is my first time attempting to grow. I recently got a bubble bum and a sunkist both clones from a good friend long time grower. she gave me the clones in some grodan rockwool cubes and i roted them and them i just put them in their new homes.

they are in 3 gal planter pots with a 60/40 perlite vermiculite mix iam using peters 20-20-20 plant food with micro nutes i have 2 48" cool white flours ~1" away from the plants they are in pretty good shape right now they are on a 18/6 light schedule with a small fan to increase circulation. I think i want to foliar feed them as well.

Does any one have any thoughts or comments . i would like any input you have to give.

how often should i water and feed the mix its kinda hard to tell when nit is wet or dry. i will put up a few pics in a minute

First pic looks good but the second one looks like something got splashed on the leaves. Secong plant has had a rougher life?

Can anyone explain why some leaves on my plants are curling and turning brown at the tips? The tops of them are fine its the bottom leaves. I have them on a 18/6 light schedule and there about a inch away from a bright white flourescent. I also have a fan cooling them.

hey, i started growing from clones on december 2, using same lighting.
you are going to need more.

this is at day 16, and starting of with 4 of those lights, now i have 8 cools and 2 150 warms overhead. thinking the warms will help in growth so i can try and trick it a bit. kind of like getting to veg with hps. i know its not the same but i havent seen good pix yet of anyone going through veg - to flower journals to comare.

well it has been a couple of days now and they are really growing like mad now i will post some new pics in a coulpe more days better ones this time. i have cut back on the watering and feeding dosage remember i am using peters 20-20-20. i am getting some more lighting but need some advice on what type i should get i also need the lighting fixture or is that called the ballast but i think there is so much more grow potential if add more light it looks like they want to grow faster but my lightwont allow.

Why are the tips of the leafs on my plants turning yellow and curling down? I am using florescent light and the light is right on top of them. They started off so good and now this, whats up, anyone know?

nutrient toxicity often starts with the tips first, I am a bit mashup and can't find my plant problem book so I cant tell you exactly which nutrient you are rich in, probably most of them, nitrogen is def, but witht the tips curling like that you have also got to much p-k

What does N-P-K stand for?
N = NitrogenNitrogen is the first major element responsible for the vegetative growth of plants above ground. With a good supply, plants grow sturdily and mature rapidly, with rich, dark green foliage.
P = Phosphorus
The second major element in plant nutrition, phosphorus is essential for healthy growth, strong roots, fruit and flower development, and greater resistance to disease.

K = Potassium (Potash) The third major plant nutrient, potassium oxide is essential for the development of strong plants. It helps plants to resist diseases, protects them from the cold and protects during dry weather by preventing excessive water loss.

I don't think you would have to repot them. If it was me I would use water only for the next couple of weeks and you should see a big improvement.:peace:
