First, MG products WILL grow cannabis, but NOT the best option. All MG products have time released nutes that are activated by watering. So, in essence every time you water, you feed. 2nd 'Dirt' from your yard...not a good choice at all. Pests, toxins, etc I have seen grows done well in regular dirt however, those I have seen baked the shit out of the dirt in the oven and that STINKS! 3rd..pissing on your plants...STOP IT! Some people swear by this idiocy...don't believe the hype, just not a good practice. 4th from what I can see in the pics you have several deficiency and excess issues going on. Cannabis is a very resilient plant and can endure a lot of torture. However, the results one gets are entirely dependent on how the plant is grown.

It is awesome that you decided to try growing weed! But, at the risk of sounding condescending, my suggestion to you is to read, study, and learn...and then do MORE research IF you want to cultivate a quality product (and I am sure you do).

Good Luck and Great Growz

I'm with $bk, your on the right track & your hands on approach is brilliant, but with just a little guidence & understanding, you'll grow great ganja.

Focus on mediums, regular soil isn't great, it'll grow, but not to its full potential.
Miracle grow, will work. But it doesn't contain what cannabis needs. It could cause harm to the roots.
Look for nutes spiciffically for cannabis, or tomatoes nutes to keep it cheep & cheerful.

Invest in a bigger, or more lights. CFL's are great, but I'd grow with HPS or LED.

I've never pissed on my plants, I heard of it a few times but I don't think id ever actually do that.
There's a lot of myths out there, keep reading, keep asking & keep growing. :bigjoint:

Jorge Cervantes Grow Bible's...words to grow and live by. Rosenthal's Grow guide...also top notch. Search online there are torrent sites that have these and more titles free.

If you want to, there are books. But, I don't really think you'd need one. You'll find any information you'll need on this site, & if you can't find it just ask.

Read through a few conversations, ask other growers about their set up for examples.

Even gorilla seed bank have an account here, so you could ask them about a strain before you buy.

I grew for years before I made an account, now I wouldn't be without it.

There are a few assholes here, like would tell you to give it soda or cocaine or something. Avoid them

RIU is a wealth of information..take a look around. BUT, do not take anyone's 'advice' and run with it. I follow this rule...if 7 out of 10 people have similar responses it MAY be good info. At the end of the day it is YOUR grow and only you can decide how to best handle your gurlz.

Looks like you have plants in clear containers, roots don't like light. Wrap them with duct tape or transplant them into something light proof.

You're burning the shit out of it, I think. It has nute burn on the tips, looks like. Possibly nitrogen toxicity. I think you might need to ease up on the nutrients and get some better soil. MG's alright, but it's not the best. I do use MG's Nature's Care organic line, though.

MG Nature's Care does not have the time released nutes. And it's half as hot as FFOF.

I lollipopped it. I have, like, 4 nearly even main colas and they grew noticeably since yesterday. Some people will completely forbid you defoliate/prune, but I think it helps the plant prioritize better, which lessens nute need, which lessens the chance you'll burn the shit out of them. The nutrients, especially the mobile nutrients, that have been stored in the defoliation will be lost, though, unless you clone it, which I did twice yesterday. Those two seem to be doing well. But, yeah, you can make clones from the limbs. SoG and such.

LST would be a better option if you're afraid of what you might fuck up or have qualms about doing anything unnatural to the plant, but cannabis is pretty hardy.

Copied and pasted directly from Miracle Gro Nature's care web site...notice the 3rd bullet.
  • Helps soil stay hydrated and satisfied, for big beautiful blooms and buds... naturally.
  • Contains yucca and coir which provide unique moisture control qualities.
  • Includes plant food that feeds for up to 3 months for bigger vegetables and herbs.
Glad you like it
