rapid start ........just a drop or two in the water that the clone is sitting inHowdy, new here but not to makin' the green happen. I have a recent success rate of 100% getting "monster crop"/ flowered clones to root, however it was only 1 attempt with 1 cutting. Moving along, just took 7-4 days ago which are all longer than 6" & after reading more than a couple threads about clearing ALL the vegetation off of the stem (aside from the tip-ish growth) in an attempt to force the cuttings to feed via newly made roots, I clipped ALL leaves, tiny half- formed baby buds, etc. Right up to the top foliage/mini-bud & now my plan is to continue misting them twice a day, leave the heating pad on under them, keep a 4' T8 lit up about a foot above it &...be patient & optimistic. Lol! Any thoughts or 1st hand experience making flowered clones take root would rock! Thanks in advance!
Wow...I'm so "tech savvy" I had issues figuring out you had replied...lol! Hence this late re-reply! Anyhow gotcha, I actually HAVE added a fairly light nute by Microbe Life Hydroponics, it's their "foliar spray/root dip" which really kicked butt last time I attempted this! In your opinion will that work and/or work in a similar way to the nutes you recommended? Oh & also the flourescent I'm using runs SUPER cool...also I'm pushing it's light through a opaque, cloudy plastic walmart bin so I figure it's at least getting SOME light...though probably not much
Ok I'm gonna pay a visit to the local plant store today actually & try to pick some of that rapid start, sounds like awesome stuff! I NEED the most efficient, reliable stuff available for these little guys bcuz if they die...so does my chance to keep them producing the amazing end product they produce! Also I guess I didn't remember how little light they need/use prior to rooting...taping it over so almost no light comes thru eh? Your advice has been sound thus far...I'll give it a shot!
Also real quick maybe it's how I'm reading your response but just wanted to let 'ya know I'M NOT attempting to make these little flowered clones bud again anytime soon, I only want them to root so I can re-veg them and get the benefits of the monster-branching plants, then after a couple months put the bushy bad boys into 12/12.
Again THANKS for takin' the time to give me some info.! If anything else comes to mind I'm always happy to learn anything helpful & new! Cheers mang!
BUT...I was giving it outside/sun light for the last month-ish & apparently our light cycle locally is a bit TOO close to 12 full hours 'cuz it decided it wanted to show me it's gender & start buddin' for me! I'm wondering, are "monster crop"/flowered clones more prone to going into flower than normal veg. Clones given the same photoperiod? Seems like it to me!
Anyhow, with this new info. & after posting my actual goal here (to re-veg. The clones to build them into big branchy plants and THEN putting them into bud cycle) do 'ya have anything you could add or any methods/tricks up your sleeve? I'm gonna order some of that rapid start regardless...sounds like solid stuff!
Wth?! I thought I replied to this!?ohhh your plant is only in trans ......it is not in flower ......cloning and reverting to veggie state u are ok the chance of hermi is low .......i thought u were in flowering as in sites have all opened and flowers had just started to form
i know of a method of ppl doing that to make the plants smaller space them out in flood trays for more even light ...surprising the yields are fair good for watts used and other cost ....that is what i thought u were doing
ok take your plant and give it 24-32 hours of darkness ...then turn it back to a 18/6 or a 20/4 .....this will make the original plant go back into veggie
next part is a little bit of a adv trick it is call Fimming ........basically u are looking at the tops of every branch and taken out the actual head of growth leaving those 2 little shoots on the side to replace it 1 cola turns into 2 ... repeat 2 turns to 4
next grow the plant to 1/3 the size of the area u have (in flowering the plant will go to 1/2 to 2/3 size it started from)............right before u do this u take off the lower branches and make your clones from that (or u can turn them all into clones) ......but u let it go to flower while the other ones are vegging out to size u want
