Sorry guys, as much as I love to grow and smoke (plus I've never had ANY probs w/ my fiance, she just doesn't want an apartment inspection at the wrong time), I think it is a bad life choice to give up living with a partner so that you can grow and use an illegal substance. Grant it I don't think its bad and shouldn't be illegal, the fact is some of you are prefering a plant/ drug over a significant other.
Thats like when I went to the gun shop bought a gun, and jokingly said "My girlfriends going to kill me," the dude at the counter said very seriously "Then dump her." This dude was like 40 and single and probably always will be because he lets his personal hobby dictate the rest of his social life.
Never allow anything- hobby, job, substance, even a person control how you manage your life, for then it is no longer your life! Always take control. You should be able to balance your love life, with your love of horticulture!

I too am with the guy who said that you should just spread a little of the wealth to the contractor. Obviously he has not called the cops on you, so he would probably be happy with a little bag and it would be done. Just tell him that what he has is it and the rest if gone. In a way that is the truth.
As for the girl, if she is that dense, then what other "treats" are in your future. I am sure we will be reading more about her "unintentional antics" in the future. I would dump her. She is a liability of the highest order if something that obvious eludes her. A piece of ass is just that and half the world's population is female. Plenty other out there and if you shop around, you might find one with a lick of sense in her head. Bummer that she had to out herself at your expense like that. Just my take anyway.

Well there is no reason to go around dumping significant others because they are a little thick(I would have lost my other half a LLOOONNNGGG time ago lol), it may be bad but when life gives you lemons you make lemonade... The guy is an electrical contractor probably hasnt had a toke since his best mate scored a little shake back in grade 10, I would definatly let him blaze tell him its a once off and in return he may be able to help you out with some electricals... Most of the contractors/construction workers i Know, Know or are someone who smoke they are joes like us... It could turn out to be a good thing your girl did.

ok buddy heres what you do:
now that your grow is dismantled, you invite said contractor over for a smoke and a drink.
as you guys chill this and that and talk about you finished grow, you explain to him that you were growing this as a one time thing or make up some story on why you cant grow anymore. and that this was kinda an expiriment
Then be like "hey man you know anyone who would want to buy my lights and grow stuff?
anyway string him on along those lines. if he says he wants to buy them, then charge exorbident amounts for your equipment so he refuses.
then you stop the grow for atleast a few months.
all the while you invite him over to smoke every now and then,
until one day u start being like ya im almost out, then just stop hanging out with him
also by then you say you found somone to by your equip. also hide all the grow room equip so he sees it all taken apart.
then once you re-educated him. after months of confirmed ignorence on his part and all contacts cut ,
u can probably safely start again.
shit better yet tell him u stopped growing and then teach him how to grow. now the tables will be turned

that contractor is a fucking liability...if he was at all professional he would have pretended he didnt see anything. it is WAY bad form to call someone out of the blue and ask for a hook up. he now thinks he has something over you(and he does!). he can use this as blackmail whenever he wants. he will not stop at one bag, you grow...why should he?
i know how id handle the problem, but you wont even get rid of the girl so i doubt youd do it.

well....IMO that contractor is a risk to the Op's freedom. he is obvioulsy a shady character or he wouldnt be calling the OP period let alone late at night for weed.
i would meet him somewhere secluded to "give him weed" and break half the bones in his body and let him know the other half arent out of the question.
then again, i would never get myself into that situation. my 2 1/2 yr old knows better than to do what the OP's girlfriend did. i still feel like this was pure negligence by the OP.

probably, but like i said, i would NEVER get myself into that situation. the OP can do whatever he wants, but i for one could not be with a girl so dense. plus, if i knew there was gonna be someone in my home i would make the neccesary arrangements so nothing would be noticed. hell, i just had the cable guy 3' from my grow the other day and im not getting extorted.
pure negligence on the OP's part, plain and simple.

marijuana is not a recreational substance. it is a medicine, a plant of industry, and something i have chosen to dedicate my life to.
you never ever sell to people you dont know. how do you know that the contractor doesn't have a cop buddy thats promising him a chunk of his bonus if he helps him bust grow ops?
also, who the hell is dumb enough to be growing and not tell the people around them what is going on and what to do/ not to do?
i have been growing forever and when i get new roommates i always sit them down and have a talk. dont bring anyone into the basement room, dont remove the green bulb from the light socket, dont tell anyone, etc.. so far its worked.
if you have no brain, then you should not be using or growing marijuana.
leave it to those of us who care.

the simple fact that you tell every new roomate you get that you are growing shows that you are the real dumbass. in a few years you will have a liniage of past old roomates who will name you as soon as they get arrest for some bullshit.
