Looks good! I'm pullin up a chair.
Smart move with the worm bin and ammendments. I've grown with many different methods, but organics is the best imho. I'm not a breeder, or a commercial supplier, but rather a plain ol stoner. I grow for me, family and friends, and organics has always given me quality over quanity. Sure I can pull 1lb easy from a DWC without even trying, but it's not anywhere near the quality or the potency.

Im not 100% sure the strain its either pineapple chunk, bubbleicious, or DJs Gold. Sorry for the mess, I transplanted from 2gal smart pot to 7gal with handles. I mixed about 2/3 roots organic original & 1/3 ocean forest. Added 2 healthy handfuls of purple cow compost, 1 handful of EWC, and pleanty more perlite.

The one plant got burnt bad by a cfl, and has N tox but getting better. Still growing good. Transplanting others tomorrow. Starting soil mix tom as well, must finalize my recipe by then.

I hate transplanting from fabrics. I always cringe at the thought of all those root tips being broke free from the fabric walls. A good kelp foliar 1-2 days prior will keep the stress levels down.
I'm in 1gal fabric right now, going into 20gal in a couple weeks

Don't feed them just yet either, roots and ffoc have plenty nutrition for a good 2 weeks. If you'd like, add 1tbsp of molasses to the water for now. Wait for them to show you they need more. If you start throwing a high N veg fert at them you'll fuck with Mg availability. The key to successful organic cultivation is to feed and maintain the microflora. This is easily done with carbohydrates. The microbes are present in the soil your using but the organic ammendments used to fortify the soil are completly composed and leave little for the microbes to eat. When you supplement carbohydrates, not only is this the ideal energy source for the plants but also the microbes. As plants grow they share nutrition with the microbes via the roots. The plants excrete exudates back into the root zone and this is what gives the microbes a reason to proliferate hence the symbiotic relationship. It's important to remember tho not to act like a child who is sugar crazed. Similar with people, too much sugar for plants is not good. Basically don't be too liberal with the molasses. Every other other other watering is ok but not more often than that. Or just use it to make AACT, by the time the brew is done the carbohydrate will be consumed by the bacteria. Imho molasses is better suited for tea to increase the gram count of bacterial colonies. Plants make their own carbohydrates without the assistance of molasses.

Now in our conversation I recall you telling me that you have been studying the publication teaming with microbes. In this publication it states an outline explanation for the microbial loop. If you give your plants and you are microbes too much sugar, the microbial loop is not as effective. The whole ideology behind the microbial loop and what makes it effective is microbes consuming other microbes. In order to maintain a healthy balance, you need them to cannibalize each other. You cannot accomplish this by overloading this system with carbohydrate.

I was reading about exudates, definitley something Im not used to. I mean, after all the reading Ive done..if I can have quality compost and or EWC, along with a semi diverse set of amendments I should be ok. I am using the purple cow compost you mentioned.
You seem like you do alot of writing, you have a good flow BTW.

I sent you the items I have so far, when you have a moment could you tell me what ratios I should use? Mainly for the amendments. Im going to let it "cook" in the blue walmart bags, I guess theyre 7gallon and Ive seen people use them and are very happy with them.

What's the total cu.ft. of soil/perlite/ewc/compost?
This is your base and to that then we add the ammendments.

A Cu ft is like 7.5 gallons? I have a 4x4 tent, and wanted to fit as many 7 gallon smart pots as possible (Im using (2) 7 gallon smart pots and however many 7 gallon blue walmart bags I can fit. I was thinking I could fit 3-4 total in my 4x4 tent?

Im not using small smart pots anymore as tbey rip the roots little. I was going to buy red lava rock from lowes, its decorative landscaping stuff..is that legit? Link is below.

The red lava rocks are fine. Lots of people use them. I prefer Hydroton or LECA but ultimately it's all the same shit.

7.48 gallons =1 cubic ft , so yes 7.5

You still haven't told me how many total cubic ft of base soil you have.

I have a full bag of hydroton as well.

Im sorry I couldnt give you a confirmation on how much base soil Ill be using. Lets say I make extra rather than less. I only have a 4x4 tent for now, so lets say (3) 7.5 gallon containers. 3 Cubic feet of base would be cutting it close, so 3.5 Cu Ft would be better. If I made extra, I could keep it cooking longer and I assume itd be better if anything.

I started my AACT brew last night, Ill wet the soil with it after it brewed for 36 hours.
-half gallon snow water
-1TBS EWC
-1TBS Purple cow compost
-Half TBS Molasses

My yields were crap because I didnt have enough plants going at once using smaller smart pots (2gal for example) Id be content with like 1.5-2 oz per 2gal? Cant really say an amount, if you ask others theyll say about a pound to everything so dont ask lol..

I suggest flowering in a 5gal smallest, obviously depending on grow space. I been doing solo cup- about 2.5gal plastic(fabric ripped some roots transplanting OUT of)-5 or 15gal fabric.

I don't plan on transplanting once put in the fabric smart pots so I doute roots will get damaged unless I'm moving them around a lot, I plan to pick them up at the bottom with a plate or saucer.

I once used a 1.5- 2 gal hempy bucket 50/50 mix of perlight and verm( mabye 80/20). Ither I didn't have the drain hole big enough or too big of a " resivior " ( if your know about the hempy bucket idea.) Or my mix was too moist. Few weeks into veg I smell a horrid fishy smell and my roots were rotting. Transplanted into peat moss and she purked up within hours after rencing the rootball. You've seen the pics in my thread. Only got 14 grams. Didn't lollipop like I should have so I don't count them. Temps were high too 87+°f. But enough thread jacking.

I'll look around for your setup in this thread. Or you could post/ pm your light and vent setup is what I'm trying to see. I understand you use bone, bloodmeal and manure for fertilizer. You just water them without added nutreints, right?

Youre not threadjacking ,youre all good. I actually dont use those, I use alfalfa, fish bone meal, kelp meal etc.. Instead of that. You should get into organics, its fun Nd is a whole different level of growing.

Ill post my complete setup in about 7 hours... I have to go to bed, Idk wby I stay up so late! Seeya

Thanks for stopping by. Everything is going good, havnt been posting much as Ive been working extra hours to upgrade my room.

Cant wait for the weather to warm up a tad, my mother left me a beautiful garden that wraps around half our house. Im going to grow a bunch of comfrey, and such. I have some plants flowering in my 4x4 tent, harvesting one soon. Ill put up a pic today.

How is everything your way? Any brown bushing going on? ( ;
