how much heat does a 150 w hps make (just the bulb not the ballast) i was wondern if i took out the cfls and put in the hps bulb and the ballast outside the cab would it get to hot?
because i have a hps and really want to use it but not sure how.

also i have looking through the thread and you were talking about the colour from the lights. i have a pretty cool side by side pick here
the left one is 27k and the right is 65k

thanks! when you insert inline a pic go to the textbox and mouse over the pic and the upper left hand corner of the pic will be a pencil, click on it and select full size

HPS! Awesome. Plants are gonna love that. Its a small bulb compared to the growing specific bulbs. I would throw that in witth the rest of the cfls. Plants will love it. I need to get me one of those tikis

Hmm. Yea. I have not touched my bulb yet but the hood gets real hot if theres no air blowing on it. Had my hands pretty close to the hps warming them up. Dont have the balls to touch it yet. Maybe after a couple more hits
