my harvest dried up, in jars :)

Nice bud man! Looks yummy!

Last year I cured my buds in jars just like you, and I got a little tip for you: buy an hygrometer! I got a couple on ebay for less than 5€ each from this seller in china. I put the little hygrometer inside the jar, and monitor the humidity that way. If its to wet, I keep the jar open for a while. It worked great for me, give it a try!

This sounds like a great idea. What % humidity are you talking about as high enough to leave lid of jar? How long...Details...needed...

LIke

below 70% leave lid on burb daily until % is below 50%? Anything above 70% considered wet leave lid of entire day or 8 hrs. That kind of info. would be great for successful curing..imo>

The digital one about credit card size would be perfect...

YOU WERE PAYING 160 AN OZ FOR SWAG???????? I WOULDN'T PAY THAT IF I HAD A MILLION BUCKS!!!!! But hey, if that's all you can get, why not?

those "cat hairs" are usually hemp fibers growing from the stalk and stems....could be feline to though...but just throwing that out there

ugh i know.... fuckin china bud..... and its so over priced too... stupid

here in maimi i get the shit for 20 an O on a bad day 10 on a good day but my buddy has 100 pounds at a time needless to say i like hash and brownies and cookies, and butter, and well fuck i put canabutter in everything but its cheep to make and gets you high as fuck !!!!!!!! and sells good too lmao

why would anyone take the risk of being a dealer if they are selling it for 10-20 an oz? Sounds fishy to me.

And I know it was cat hair, same colors as my long haired cat.

Is that a pickle jar to the left? I swear, that smell NEVER leaves the jar no matter how many times you wash it lol.

yes its a pickle jar and I only washed it twice. The trick is to just let it sit with the lid off for a few days or so, maybe even a week and the smell eventually leaves. Trust me I would not have put part of my very first harvest in a pickle jar that still smelled like pickles.

FWIW . . . I believe 15% moisture is desired in finished, cured product. This is when it will smoke/taste/burn optimally. I fill mine as full as possible without smashing . . . probably 9/10ths full.

I tried to keep my jars @ up to 60% humidity.

After dried for 2 weeks, I kept it in the jars closed for a week, and they tend to go to 70%. I left them open for about half a day and close it again.

One strain was actually too humid and was hard to take down. I put some rice in the jar, along with the weed and voilà!

I never got it under 50%, but mainly cause this city is quite humid already, so even if I tried, it wouldn't go down. I think the ideal is around 65%

Good Luck!
